Default increasing mine production

ok been a while sense i posted an idea but here it goes.

i think that the mine base production could be increased by a certain reasonable percent across the board.

now what does this mean for players, well it makes being a miner more profitable and reduces the time needed to produce the recources to pay off the cost of the mine.

now this has several pros:
can increase the speed noobs such as those guys that just started can grow.
more resources are flowing into the UNI than before.

and it has a con over night production could be increased to the point where what once was not so profitable could now maybe be worth the time to hit.


well i can think of much more to say and if i forgot something please mention it.

and please don't say pick a number for that percent as i don't know what a good number would be to reduce the amount of bordom that noobs having during that first day of waiting having no recources to do anything.

I only would Increase Production for the lower AZ`s
Like 200% Production for AZ 1-3 which slowly Decreases in that 3 AZ`s

For the Higher it isnt Really Needed, just Speeds up the Game in Total

Good idea Brad. I concur with Royal (scary thought)!
My suggestion:

AZ 1-3 + 200%
AZ 4-5 + 100%
AZ 6 + 50%
AZ 7+ no bonus

I also wonder if, perhaps, starting new players off with a Level 1 Research Lab on their main planet would be useful in the acceleration of their empire.

Tune in next time for more MOD war's !! *Cue dramatic music*

I just don't like the idea full stop. I can be away for 24hour's at a time and sure my storage can take the extra capacity but, Well .... Can the local's resist ?

But you're only thinking about yourself here Mike. You're not the only person who plays the game - well I don't think you are...

I think the idea has merit Brad. It would push more resource thoughout all of our planets and give the raiders that little something extra to go hunting for - depending on the percent increase ofcourse. I would think something like 10-15% would be an ok margin for increase.

I like the idea too but i would go a little further then Arne went:

AZ 1-3 200%
AZ 4-5 150%
AZ 6-7 100%
AZ 8-10 50 %

Start all players with an larger starting booster pack and some mines and tech already there
And make the AZ 1-5 colony ships have an automatic setup of say mines lvl 5 command cent and fleet commands lvl 1

just a thought and there could also be a 7 day(or more) safe play for new players, yeah i know they cant be attacked till they get to what 50 points well if some of these ideas were to be implemented then 50 points would be fast.

You guy's play this game ? WWWHHHAAATTT ! i had no idea .

Ok so for the people in AZ1, 2, 3 it would have merit but brad was on about an across the board increase, When i clicked reply i had not seen arnesson's idea. I don't mind if it just affect's the little people.
(Im on 214 point's in Uni2 so i know how slow it is )

Just a little Boost in the Beginning with a Helpfull Guide will Help them already enough I think
And Increase the Amount of Fields on your Starting Planet from 230 to 300

Example:

You Currently have only 1 Colony from where you can Expand to Other Places in the Universe.
You need to Upgrade your Mines and Buildings to get a Higher Rescource Income to Build more Stuff.
I would Advise to Start with:
*Upgrade your Fusion Plant to Level 1, this Produces Energy which will let your Mines Work
* Upgrade your Pig Iron and Kryptonite Mines to Level 1, these will Produce the Basic Building Rescources
* Keep Repeating this above Steps for a few Times
- But Remember to Keep having enough Energy to Produce at an Optimal Rate

Later on you can Build a Blast Furnace and a SPice Mine, those Produce more Valuable Rescources which are needed to Build Ships and more Advanced Buildings

Recommended is to have your Blast Furnace level below your Pig Iron Mine level

Also look at your TechTree once a while to See what you need to Unlock your First Ships and Defences

So Space Pilot, Explore your New Homeworld and Start to Build, to become the New Ruler of the Universe.

I thought that at first then i started thinking about the inpatients of people when they start and decided to go ahead and post it with the boost happening threw to AZ 10 the process of getting to the upper AZ will be cut by a significant time this will give those that wish to learn and hang around a better chance and those that dont it wont matter plus the raid able planets for all AZ ranges will go up exponentially and fast.

Thats the way my Brain is seeing it now but that may change by lunch

And I agree with you here Royal. We do not players becomming to confortable with high mine production when after lets say 1 month of playing your down to standard production rates.

Increasing the starting planet size would be a good idea also.

@Arne:

Giving them a reseach lab to begin with Arne would be a bad idea so why not just include some metal and spice in the starting phase and increase the base resource you start with.

Instead of 1.000 Pig and 800 Kryptonite maybe they could have:

1.500 Pig, 1.100 Kryptonite, 800 Metal and 350 spice.

If we give out a research lab straight off how many NooB's would forget to build their mines and just research needlessly.....
