Ahoy Pirates,
Here are some of the basics that may help you on your pirate journey...
Gold:
Gold is you main game currency. You will use this to buy crew, items/equipment and your ship.
When you start your best way to gain gold is to do your quests. You will receive valuable Gold and Experience Points by completing these quests. When you complete higher level Quests & Pirate Tests, you also receive Gold as your reward.
You can also find gold in the Glitters/Shineys floating on the water, By killing the monsters, by sinking
NPC's (Non Player Character Ships), by capturing gold from other player ships, In the Bonus Maps, and your guild can give you gold that has been collected in the daily guild tax. You may also exchange pearls into gold through your pearls page.
Note that you are not able to turn your gold into pearls.
Pearls:
Pearls are used to buy the stronger items found in the bazaar.
(you can also bid with gold in the bazaar to get these same things).
You also may use pearls when you spy out the location of other player ships and you can use pearls to buy mojo in the C.O.A.
You can obtain pearls from finding them in the glitters/shineys floating in the water, by completing upper map Quests & Pirate Tests, sinking upper map NPC's, In the Bonus Maps, and you can buy them instantly through your pearls page.
Experience Points:
EP is another thing you are working on. You need EP to meet the requirements for you to take your next test.
You can get most of your EP in the beginning levels by simply completing your quests, but in the upper levels you will need to spend time gaining your EP from sinking NPC's or other player ships. (
note that other player ships do not give as much ep as the npc's do.) You can also find Ep in Glitters/Shineys, In the Bobus Maps, as well as participating in many of the special pirate events throughout the year.
Note:
1.See
Pub, for more on Quests & Pirate Tests
2. In the Bonus Maps you can also get gold, EP, Pearls. Please see
Cauldron of Aruba for more on how to get your bonus maps. Note the
Rebalancing of Waves - Nearly in Public as well, there you can see the amounts of gold you can get.
Ships:
The ship you have will allow you to hold more crew, cannons, and will have more HP =
Hit points (health), among other things.
You can only have one ship at a time. When it is damaged or sunk you do not need to buy a new one- once you have a repair man you can repair your ship.
( note you do need to start your repair with at least one (1) hp .. either buy 1,000 hp with pearls, mojo may give you 250 hp, and shineys may give you hp...see more about this further in Seafight Bible)
You can get to level 5 with the 1,999,999 ship...
(note that this is the highest bought gold ship available) ... so as soon as that is available you may want to get that one. The level 6 test will require you to get an elite/pearl ship...
(note that this is bought in the bazaar w/pearls instantly or by bidding with gold) ... After you have your pearl ship =
terror of the sea found in the bazaar, you can get new ship skins to wear by earning elite points. The elite ship is the largest ship class in the game.
More in depth info about the ships can be learned further in the Seafight Bible.
Guilds:
Joining a guild is an important decision to investigate. Looking in the guild section on the boards to see what any potential guild is about and see if you will fit in with them is important. You want to make sure they are in your server.
You will spend much time, energy and resources in your guild.. you will not want to wast your valuable time in one that doesn't fit with you. Insuring that your guild is knowledgeable and able to assist you in meeting your full potential in this game is something you should be looking for. When you put on a guild tag you inherit that guilds reputation .. their war list and their nap list. =(
Non Aggressive Pact) = means your guild has an agreement with another guild to not be aggressive / shoot at each other.
Guilds have a leader and 2 council members, the most important role they do is distribute the gold that has been collected from each ship within that guild to the players in that guild. This guild tax takes a percentage of the gold you have on your ship and it goes in the guild 'bank'. So having wise leadership is a good thing. This guild gold can help you when you need some gold to buy ammo or to bid for elite items in the bazaar.
A guild will also be able to help you to do pirate tests, so you would logically want to make sure the leadership has played long enough to have taken the tests themselves.
Once you have found a guild you like they do become like your family.. they sail with you, fight with you, and help you learn the skill and strategy to be a strong pirate.
Many guilds have joined together with other guilds and formed an alliance. They all have the same war and nap lists.
This also goes a step further and alliances join with other alliances to form Coalitions. There are Full Coalitions .. where all groups share the same war and nap lists.. then theres the War Coalition which is when groups join together for a certain amount of time to war against a common enemy.
In Alliances and coalitions there are leaders who govern and lead the groups.. there is also "diplo's" .. these people are there to help you resolve issues when needed like when a NAP'd person has sunk you.
Ultimately the leadership of your guild is there to make sure you have a fun time, asking them questions about your servers game play is really a good thing to do.
Maps & Levels:
When you pass a pirate test you will be able to sail into those level maps. You can do a pirate test once a day. Leveling up is the main goal most pirates have when they start. The higher up in maps you are in the more reward amounts the monsters and NPC's give you. Most of your guild mates will be playing in the upper maps as well, so people try to get up there to sail with their friends.
Pirate tests:
Your first pirate test involves getting 5 Serena's and 6 Trankus monsters. Once completed in the 30 min time you will get a new set of quests you can do. You will have one day until you are allowed to take the next test to level you up into the 3 maps. That test will have you get - 20 Serena- 15 Trankus - 5 Deradus - 8000 HP
(shot off any ship) & - 1 enemy Ship or NPC; in one hour. In addition to the monsters you are having to sink one enemy or npc ship, and you need to inflict 8000 points of damage off of any ship. This 8000 HP does not mean you have to have that many health.. it means you have to take that off of another ship. Once you have done this in the hours time you will advance to level 3 and get a new set of quests to do.
Your quests in the beginning are just having you run cords= go from point to point on the map getting to the red X. Some quests will include sinking NPC's.
In the cords quests you do need to stay in the same map once you start the quest, but in the npc quests you can change maps.
Once you complete a test you do get a new set of quests. All the old quests will no longer be available once you've leveled up.. so do them when you can.
A list of monsters, NPC's, pirate tests and quests can be viewed further on in the Seafight Bible.

I hope you find this information useful and that you enjoy playing Seafight much!- What is actually the difference between elite cannons and event cannons?
The most important difference between an elite cannon and an event cannon is that event cannons aren’t always available. You can only purchase them on certain event days, for example, when there is a special promotion.
Are there any other special features? Yes, and these are:
- The event cannons have a longer range of fire than normal elite cannons. They can be shot a distance of 30 fields. Attention: This range of fire only kicks in after the second shot has been fired.
- Start an attack by approaching your opponent at the same distance as you would with an elite cannon. Afterwords you can also withdraw to a distance of 30 fields (instead of 25 fields like with the elite cannons) and you’ll still be able to hit your target – from a safe distance!
The event cannons don’t have increased firepower in comparison to the elite cannons nor do they damage quicker.
- How do I get a 300 man crew?
When you want to take your pirate test to get to level 10 it does have a requirement to have a 300 man crew. Many pirates get hung up on this.
You elite ship
(requirement to take the pirate level 6 test), will give you 255 crew slots. When you get the elite Co-captain he will allow you to have an addition 45 slots for crewmen. So 255 + 45 = 300.
- How long must you be inactive, until you receive an email ?
After 30 days of not logging into the account, your account will be inactive. However the emails are completely random, not everyone will receive these.
- When will my pirates die?
A pirate will die at an age of 137.
If he doesn't die in battle before that. A pirate will also die after a certain amount of scars (this depends on the doctor you have). If your pirate gets 19/19 scars he will die. Elite crew itself will never die, so they will not be effected by scars. The Scars are affecting the health of your crew once they have accumulated there maximum.
Remember there are other things also affecting the life span of your pirates- Age and Food f/e.
- Where do I post if I think something is wrong in my account?
If you have an issue that needs our support staff to investigate inside your account you will need to post a detailed description about it in the
Technical Questions, Problems and Bugs section of the boards. You will also need to provide your account id# if you wish to have your questions answered.
- What do I need to know about the Boards?
On your login page there is a link to take you to the forums on the bottom right of the page.
Within your game page there is a link to take you to the forums in the top right area.
On your first visit to the board you will want to read the
Board-Rules first and foremost. Doing so will insure that your experience in the board community is a pleasant.

Each section has a detailed description as to what type of posting is to go within that area. All questions that involve your account needing to be looked into need to be posted in the
Technical Questions, Problems and Bugs , all payment issues need to be emailed to
You need to include your id# in order to have any issues looked into.

- What does it mean when people say a 'Full Pearl Ship'?
It is common for a ship to be called 'full pearl' when it is an Elite Ship with all elite cannons
(50 or 55 pounders) and elite crew
(bought from the Market Cove). It means you are 'full' or at your max potential.
- What do I do, I can't log into my ship? Did someone 'hack' me?
Our game is 100% Safe, Seafight Cannot be Hacked, many people throw the word HACK around without actually knowing what it was. In most cases it is that you are inputting your login information incorrectly, logging into a different server then before, or you have allowed someone else to have access to your game account. It is important for you to keep your account secure.
Never give out your password information.

- Where do I find my account ID Number?
Also see ~
Where to find your ship ID# - How is the Speed of the Ship calculated?
<==I will now show you how that is done.==>
Every Ship got its own average Speed…
In this example we will base our calculations on the regular Pearl-Ship.
A Pearl-Ship has a maximum speed of
25 knots.
With a (Elite) Gauger you can even speed that up to
30 knots.
First you need to know that every crew-member and every Item you carry is slowing you down a bit.
(How much that is needs to be ascertain by the “Captain” and that is you!)
The best “Gold-Sail” will gain your speed by 15 knots!
Our ship can hold three of them so we are gaining
45 knots.
The max speed of our ship is
30 knots (inclusive a Gauger)
and therefore we do have
15 knots too much.
==>But they are not useless…<==
As I previously said:
“every crew-member and every Item you carry is slowing you down a bit”
All these items are eating up your knots and they take the remaining knots first and as soon as that is exhausted they will use the knots you need for sailing around and that will result in a slower ship.
A little demonstrative calculation.
3 X 15 = 45 (Gold-Sails)
You carry items which are slowing you down be 18 knots.
Items are primary knots taker:
45 – 18 = 27 (knots left)
Therefore your ship is just going 27 knots.
This was the general Speed-Calculation!
But what about the Speed-Glitters?!?!
The Speed glitters are Ship-Related…
They will be added to your ship.
Knot by knot you can speed up.
So you can have ship-related additional speed.
A little demonstrative calculation.
3 X 15 = 45 (Gold-Sails)
You carry items which are slowing you down be 18 knots.
Items are primary knots taker:
45 – 18 = 27 (knots left)
You ship did collect 8.6 knots in Speed-Glitters.
27 + 8.6 = 35.6 knots
Therefore your ship is just going 30 knots and you still can carry some more stuff without slowing down.
Loosing HPs can slow you down !
If you wanna know how much it is you need to ascertain it because you are the “Captain”!
Loosing knots by loosing HPs can be compensated with Speed-Glitters as well.
(You just need to have enough.) -- so if you think your are going slow.. be looking for some speed points in the shineys & Glitters :-)~
- How much gold do I bid in the Market Cove?
There is no correct answer to this question.
It is the greatest mystery in the high seas.
There are many many things you will need to investigate to make a decision to this.
1. What server you play on.
~ Some servers have more long-time players on it or long established guilds with large guild banks to give their players huge amounts of gold to grantee a winning bid.
2. Time of day = player on line.
~ Supply and demand... how many people want the item you want.
Ideally you would want to be in a knowledgeable guild with leaders and councils who are experienced and have your best interest at heart. They will want you to succeed so they will make sure to tell you the right times to bid and how much for your server.
In some guilds they can put a dummy bid in before.. where they would place a bid amount until they won it.. then hook their player up with slightly more then that amount (They would have the advantage of knowing what amount at this point) .. then you all wait, and cross your fingers and toes, until the last minute and you would place your bid and get t he item hopefully.
It is really a question that has no clear cut answer.
In bidding for any items in the bazaar you do want to make sure that you have room on your ship for the desired thing.. like when biding for sails, elite men,, etc.
The bid amounts do not stack.. each bid submitted is standing on its own.
To see if you won the item you can click on the

in the lower right of page and it will show you who won at the end of every hour. >>
The Bazaar:
Here's where you'll find enhancements for articles which you can buy for gold at the trader's, in the weapons shop or in the shipyard.
Try purchasing the articles at an auction by entering the amount of gold you want to bid and then clicking on the "Bid" button. Or play it safe and
buy them immediately for pearls.
Important: Keep in mind that the gold will be deducted from your account whether you win the auction or not.- How do I obtain an Elite Ship

Here you can get the Level 1 Elite Ship for free. Select it and push on save.

~ You get these Elite points by shooting elite
pearl cannon balls.
The first elite has 75 thousand hp, as well as only carries 100 cannons and lower amount of pirates...etc.. the level 2 - 10 all will have the same states 105 cannons, 80 thousand hp ect...
~See Elite Ships & Special Ships further in the Seafight Bible for more about each ship.
You can get a new color ship skin by using your elite cannon balls. Each ship requires a different amount. Then just come back here and "Select" your next ship color and save it.

When you are logging in you you have the options
1. Eastern Europe
2. Western Europe
3. Americas
Choose one and the servers become visible.
You may play anyone you wish to. Just note that each server holds it's own progress of game.. so if you are a level 13 pirate on one server then start another server.. you will be only level one pirate there.
You can not transfer any part of accounts to other servers. And each server will give you a unique id#, so if you need assistance from the technical team you do need to give them the correct id#.
The Test Server is only activated when something needs to be tested and once the test is done this test server is closed. It is closed more often then open and not meant to be your main game play server.
