Hello everyone,
With the last update we introduced a new system to the game: The Voodoo Shield System.
This new systems adds a special shield to your ships, essentially doubling the number of base Hitpoints your ship can take before it may be sunk. One very important reason for us to introduce this new system to the game was that the original game concept never meant players to have an uncapped, extreme amount of Hitpoints. We understood that one reason for some players to use unauthorized third-party programs, farming ridiculous numbers of Glitters, was that Hitpoints kept adding up, giving these particular players an unintended and unfair advantage in their battles with other players.
The next reason was that some of you asked for items that could be used to spend the pearls you have been saving up lately. So we decided that the Voodoo Shield Amulets will permanently be available in the Market Cove.
The final reason for us introducing this new system in an attempt to make Seafight a much fairer game again, was that we hope to extend and expand this system in the future, adding more tactical variation to the game.
We understand that the sudden change has taken many of you by surprise and led to some confusion. Therefore we would like to apologize by giving all players who logged in at least once in the last three months a set of 10 Ogoun-Amulets (each worth 10,000 Voodoo-Points) and two of the rare Agwe-Amulet event item (restoring 25,000 Voodoo Points).
Also we would like you to know that we want to hear your feedback on the Voodoo-Shield system as there is still room for improvement. If you have any suggestions, questions or such, please keep posting in the related
discussion thread!
Thank you,
Your
Seafight team
