Default BP, start listening to your customers!!Every month, many honest players spend money o

Every month, many honest players spend money on Seafight, I know that within the Guild of which I am a member we have atleast 12 players who would spend $100 dollars per week. Yes we have players who dont spend any money but I am trying to focus on the Credit Card Pirates here, of which I am one, I am one of many very Disgruntled CC Pirates trying to play the game in its present state, so please answer these questions. Lets send BP a message.
We want to play Seafight, we like to spend some hard earnt money on entrainment.
My three main gripes are
1) Lack of decent events in which the Seafight Community can participate in as a whole. ( CC Pirates and Free-Playing Pirates alike)
2) Lack of Shrapnel and class 5 Harpoons in the market place. Lack of chests on the waters and decent rewards there in...all of which I would buy pearls to obtain.
3) BP's inaction towards the program users. I have heard it would be cost to much to fix, it is costing BP alot of money now in lost revenues from disgruntled CC Pirates refusing to pay to play and leaving the game.
In fact, all three of these gripes are costing BP huge amounts of lost revenue. Because we dont want to spend our money on second rate event and items in Market cove.
For me, helping out a Free-Playing Pirate Friend with elite ammo and class 5 harps to do Pirate Tests is a good thing. Helping these players to win Skins and Bonuses during events is what many CC Pirates like to do...Because we can!

We continue to play because of our friends, their numbers are dwindling due to failure of BP to listen to us and provide decent events and fix the problems with program users. Soon, there will be no-one left to pay to play.
Can you, BP, afford to loose so many Paying Customers?

We are the Customers!!
We pay for the pleasure not the painful shambles this game has become.
We continue to play for our friends...but not for much longer...I havent logged into the seachart and played for 1 week.

>>"The Customer is Always Right!"<<
Stop ignoring us!!!

SINNBAHD[AUS]

West Coast Server
Level 20/27
235 Level 5 55's...Useless
235 level 5 60's
235 Class 2 Repair cannons
235 Admiral Cannons.

I could list all the ships and pets I have paid for or won in events and from chests, using only the best P-ammo, I go for most damage. I don't rely on luck.

Heres an Idea for an event.

Who can open the most chests...winner gets a set of fluffy dice to hang from the mast of his/her ship

It's truly sad but you know I'd love a good event that didn't cost $$ to play. I'd like to know what the future hold if we stay like this

Default Good days are gone. Bad days are coming to an end shortly.

I am or should I now say (I was) a credit card pirate. No more. Done spending money here. When everything that I bought on my ship runs out. Then its on to the next one. Just tired of this. The thrill is gone.

Sadly I cancelled all of my premium items yesterday with the full intentions of leaving the game when they expire. After 3 years of playing and a nice little maxed out boat I really do feel I have no choice and to be blunt they have pushed me into it.

Cheaters and thieves are rampant in the game, Bigpoint seem to have virtually abandoned the game with updates do to the now puny userbase, support at every level is dire and I think the majority are just going through the motions, the ingame currency of pearls has now become virtually worthless due to the cheats and I firmly believe any potential updates to our boats will be paid for with cash items, communication with their playing community is non existant albeit one of their senior staff alludes to the importance of community and listening to their players, we will see only patches to the game to keep it running and the only new things will be paid for, events will just be re-hashed with new labels. Even the bots will lose in the end as it is pretty pointless to steal from the game and not be able to do anything with their ill gotten gains. But they will just move onto another game.

Will the game keep running ? Yes a think it will. It will be a low cost revenue stream for Bigpoint ( getting smaller by the day) and eventually only the die hards and the robots will be left. New players have been totally dis-incentivised from starting the game unless they are prepared to shell out thousands or spend about 10 euros on a bot. I do think the only reason people are still with the game is because of the time and money they have invested.

But the worse thing of all for me is their contemptuous attitude towards us. At every single level they lose sight of the fact that we are customers. It seems that we are always in the wrong rather than the ones being affected by what is currently happening at the moment. They ignore us, refer us on, ban us or censor us at every opportunity just because it is either the easy way out or they plainly just don't know what to do. Read the forums, everything we are upset about is closed or referred to support who then just ignore us. A very vicious circle for people who are genuinely upset and really only want answers to perfectly reasonable questions.

Peak hour users sits at around 10k players ( 8k of which are probably bots ) and Bigpoint have openly stated they do not develop games with a user base below 1 million. Pretty futile asking for new stuff, it just won't happen.

Still, there is a bright light at the end of the gaming tunnel. Friendships and bonds will have been made which go way beyond Bigpoint's gaming realm and many of us will still play games together but probably not with this company.

Their senior staff allude to community being the most important thing in their gaming worlds but behind all that they are extremely numbers focused, as they should be. Profit is not a dirty word. However they have missed something extremely important out in their business model. The more you monetise games and gaming items, the more ways people will try and find ways not to pay. Hence the botters. They specifically aim at the top 5% or so of people who have enough disposable income to constantly pay of all upgrades and always want to be number one. Unfortunately 8 of the top ten players on my server are botters so that ain't really working out well lol. They are well aware that the majority of people experience their gaming worlds for free but what is happening on Seafight will endemically spread across even their new games. I get the impression that bots and cheats are more endemic on Dark Orbit than on our game. And they really do consider that a cash cow.

There are many posts lately simply stating that 100 k people spending a hundred pounds a year is much better that 5k people spending a thousand pounds a year or similar figures. Well true. Unfortunately the big spenders are also leaving as well.

Nuff said.

Default a "Tainted" name

And so it goes on and on. I and a lot of others were expressing our collective dissatisfaction years ago when BP started out with the Crystals and Skill points. Since then there's been an almost continual outcry about the spireling cost of playing this game.

We've been completely ignored!

It has only been recently that BP has become so overt in their apparent greed in
producing so many "cash only" items. Added to this fact is that so many players are obviously using cheat items ( bots-scripts-game injects) that the whole playing community is aware of the problems here. BP is doing, and will continue to do, nothing about it.

There is one thing that BP may want to consider when it comes to customer satisfaction. That thing is company reputation. SF is fast becoming known as a "cheaters" game. Also it's acquiring a reputation for being a "money pit".
When asked by friends ( and there's been a couple) i try to steer them away from
this game, advertised as being "free" but that statement is far from the truth.
I tell them you can play "at" this game, but unless you're willing to spend a few thousand dollars a year, you'll never get anywhere near being competetive.

As far as i'm concerned, BP is a "tainted" company name. Their lack of concern when it comes to customer satisfaction, their use of the Mods to supress almost any form of free speech in the forum when it comes to complaints (Call "Customer Care" and then they shut down the thread) and failure to resolve game problems has led me to the only conclusion i can make:

Never again will I subscribe to or play a game sponsored by Bp!

btw SinnBahd, you forgot one column in your poll..

How many playes spend 0 dollars a year to play this game?

I'm one of those who have spent nothing on this game.
True enough I'd rather spend hundreds of hours hunting shiney(manually) than pay money.
It's also true my ship is still being sunk in 5 seconds, but it is still growing in a satisfying rate. That is, I get 2 or 3 more admiral cannons a week.

Now, I might spend 0.99 USD on the 120 crystals in the beginner's rewards.
