Ahoy Pirates,
Here is the information as to what has been done during todays patchday, of 20th June.
New Features
Libra Bonus Map
This bonus map is a scaled down version of the Leo bonus map. Similar to its big brother, this new map offers a lot of challenges and tons of cool rewards.
Changes
Clan Islands
The clan islands have undergone extensive rework. It is now necessary to approach the clan islands from the seamap to manage, repair and upgrade towers. This change has been necessary to resolve many issues that came up in the past. Here are a few examples:
- Towers repairs and upgrades now work as intended. (Correct time, costs and hitpoints are calculated and displayed)
- Taking over a clan island now works as intended.
- Display errors (e.g. towers showing wrong icons, log-book entries) have been fixes.
-
Other Fixes
- Several display errors have been fixed (ship designs, language related issues).
- Ship designs (ELP bonuses, damage reduction, etc.) are now working correctly. (e.g. EM Silver Design Anemoi, Seahawk
- ELP bonuses for several designs are now calculated correctly.

Patch Notes: 24 July 2012
Today we are proud to announce that we again fixed several annoying bugs that have been reported by our community.
Please note that these changes are the first step in a continuous row of fixes/improvements we will be making to the system. We would be glad to hear from you how you like these changes and give us your feedback.
New FeaturesDeck Upgrades- We now offer you the chance to improve your ship’s decks in the Crystal Cave. Every upgrade adds new slots for equipment.
- Upgrades remain even when the deck is destroyed.
ChangesMarket Cove- Improved the stability and speed.
- Fixed several bugs that caused items to not get credited properly.
Damage & Attack Rebalancing
Attack speed, damage calculation and critical attack formulas are now streamlined. Instead of several different attack and damage formulas, we have simplified the basic system. This allows us to make further changes more easily and if necessary in the future adapt the new system quicker.- Fixed the “Distance Shot bug” – it is no longer possible for players to hit a target that is slightly out of range.
- Instead of firing different cannons at different times, the new systems only fires one salvo.
- This saves consumables like Black powder
- Instead of having to calculate (and send messages to the client) for every type of cannons, we now fire all cannons at the same time. Bonuses and stats of each cannon on the ship influences attack speed, damage calculation and critical hit chances are now calculated as average over all cannons.
- With the introduction of the Voodoo Shield System, this new system levels the playing field for all users.
Voodoo Shield
Thanks to the feedback from our community we started making the first changes to the Voodoo Shield System.- Introduced a cooldown timer – so it should no longer be possible to use several amulets at the same time.
- Made the Amulets significantly cheaper.
Fixed Bugs- Kraken poison ammunition damage amended
- Improved the premium rebate formula in Market Cove
- Buying the Behemoth Medallion through the Quick-buy menu now deducts the proper amount of pearls.
- It is no longer possible to have more cannons on a deck than intended.
- The stats of all cannons on decks and the ship are now correct.
- The Pirate Test counts the correct number of enemies defeated.
- The amount of powder monkeys transferred to the ship will no longer exceed the actual amount bought.
- The buttons in the friend-bonus window are now visible again.
- The fog-of-war now covers the edges of the map.
- In the tavern the Monster names are now displayed correctly.
- Large amount of localized texts have been improved.
Your Seafight Team

Ahoy Pirates
As you can see, we have been worked very hard over the last week fixing a lot of bugs within the game. Here are a list of the main ones which have been resolved:
Boarding - A critical bug concerning the boarding of other players has been fixed.
- Logbook entries should now reflect the correct information who boarded whom.
- After changing the nickname, the new name is now displayed in the enemies’ logs.
Hailstorm and Windstorm can no longer be used at the same time.
Guilds - Guilds can now be renamed as it is supposed to be
Virgo Maps - The reward from the Virgo map is now properly added to the ship’s max HP
Login Bonus - Players should now always get the correct bonus.
Light of Tortuga - In the past it was possible that Light of Tortuga was activated inadvertently by using Gun Powder and Armor Plates. This is now fixed.
- Some items could deactivate an active Light of Tortuga. This has been fixed.
- Once Light of Tortuga is activated, the graphical effect is played again.
Change user data - It should now be possible to change the login information under “My profile” again.
“Windstorm” and “Seers Vision” are now giving the correct range.
Firefox users can now resize the Seafight window again.
Fruit & Rum - It should no longer be possible to reach a negative number of Fruit and Rum. This bug could cause log-in issues for some players.
Championship Design - Queen’s Legacy no longer causes the ship to “blink”.
Candles are now working again.
Voodoo Shield Amulets - Using the Amulets is now correctly displayed in the logbook. (Before you would only see the item number.)
Market Cove: - It is no longer possible to use decimal numbers when buying items. (We can’t sell half a cannon ball – and imagine the mess trying to hire a quarter of a pirate!)
NOTE: Should you enter decimal points or commas (e.g. “100.00” or “100,000”) the comma / decimal point is simply ignored (i.e. “10000” or “100000”).
- If you try buying more than you can afford, the system will sell you the next lowest number of items you can afford. (E.g. if you want to buy 1000 cannons but only have enough gold for 578, you will get those.)
Please double-check the amount of items you want to buy – especially when using decimal points or commas!
- Some players could not see the position the available decks would occupy. This has been resolved.
Landing Page - The date of birth can now be selected correctly.
Bonus Maps: - Certain items no longer activate themselves inadvertently activate themselves once a wave is defeated.
- Leaving a bonus map while under attack is no longer possible. Fight or die, you scurvy dogs!
Behemoth repair staffs are working again as designed.
Healing cannons - The two types of healing cannons are now working as intended (Pearl cannons have a better hit-chance than gold cannons.)
- When a player has no heal cannons aboard, the scouts will no longer report their range back.
Website / Storage - Cannons should no longer mysteriously disappear from storage.

Sea-fight Team
