stern post speed is good .. centerboard speed is only useful for new ships without speed points and credit card pirates and is absolutely worthless to older boats or shiny hunters.

5 points in speed skill is slower then 5 points in sternpost castle.

actualy 5 points in speed skill along with 3 points in speed castle is just a hair faster then 5 points in speed castle alone (stenpost)

i know cause i do speed tests all the time and run about 10 races back to back to eliminate variances.

Hi Masudparvez,

Thank you to Griffon for answering the question.

Has this answered your query?

Actually - this ties into the question I had asked (just closed because there were responses but we still don't have an answer.)

Griffon's points are entirely new (I can't find references to these elsewhere.) The speed types listed for castles and skill - in what way are they related to speed points?

Also - speed used to be listed (you can still find that screen btw - it just doesn't work anymore) - where it showed speed up to around 20. The problem being - what I am hearing here is people collect thousands of speed points -- if that old screen were right - 20 would max you out. I take it this is wrong?

How do speed points impact the various types of castle and skill speeds? How do they effect each other?

As you have all been answered and the originator opened their thread more than 48 hours ago I presume he is happy with the answers too and I shall therefore close this thread.
