is it possible for you to check with the developers and confirm that all of the following 1) the bonus repair speed from premium (2 x faster), 2) the castle repair item (25% more hp/sec) and 3) the skill repair item (30% more hp/sec) will all continue to work with the level 5 carpenter

i calculate the fastest repair time is now

35,000 + 35,000 + 8,750 + 10,500 which equals 89,250 hp every 80 seconds

can this please be confirmed ??

I can confirm that the bonus repair speed from premium, the castle repair item and the skill repair item, will all work with the level 5 carpenter.

However I could not confirm your calculations maths has never been my strong point.

can you now confirm that the following are the repair rates because you posted that the level 4 carpenter repairs faster at rest than the level 5 which is now confusing

The level 4 carpenter repairs 40,000 hit points in 2 minutes.

level 3 repairs 19,800 hp every 2 minutes (120 seconds) (even though the market cove detail description indicates 80 seconds)

level 4 repairs 40,000 hp every 2 minutes (120 seconds)

level 5 repairs 35,000 hp every 80 seconds (would be 52,500 hp every 2 minutes)

how is it that 35k every 80 secs is slower than 40k every 2 mins ?

Maths has never been my forte. However, my mates and myself love this new carpenter because of two reasons. One, you dont need to stop and repair which prolongs your downtime. As a member of DooM, we love fights and prefered to get as much sinks rather than getting bog down by wasting our time repairing. if you had 400k hp, it takes you over 5mins to repair. Secondly, it works!

So, as Ocean seven said, you dont buy it. Or just go on have fun sinking

Working from your calculations:

The level 4 carpenter repairs 333.33 hp per second. (40k per 120 seconds)

The level 5 carpenter repairs 437.5 hp per second. (35k per 80 seconds)

The level 5 carpenter also repairs when on the move. So not only does it repair faster is has the added feature of repping while moving. These are the benifits as I see them.

Like Serengettispirit I'm no mathemetician but this is how I work it out.

Ok I shall post my findings on the level 4 and level 5 carpenters.

I have two ships, one with the level 5 carpenter, one with the level 4.
When this testing was done both ships had 3 skill points in Swift Remedy (Repair skill), increasing the repair speed by 15%. No other repair enhancers were used.

Boat 1 - Level 5 Carpenter:

Moving:
Repair Per Sec: 1,033 HP
Total Repair in 2mins: 119,907 HP

Stationary:
Repair Per Sec: 1,033 HP
Total Repair in 2mins: 119,907 HP

Boat 2 - Level 4 Carpenter:

Stationary:
Repair Per Sec: 790 HP
Total Repair in 2mins: 92,734 HP

As you can clearly see, the level 5 carpenter repaired a total of 27,173 more HP than the level 4 carpenter in the same amount of time.

You can also see that the level 4 carpenter is not used when Boat 1 is stationary, the level carpenter mate is used, and the same amount of HP is repaired.
