Ahoy Pirates,

For quite a while now we have received many complaints of "Account Hacking" this we have continually denied as been impossible. To prove that theory i have decided to set up a little contest.

I have created a new account: Seafight_Hack_Me UserID: 18450724 (UK Server)

Since this is the only information that you can receive about an account ingame this is all that you will be provided with.

Every person who claims to have had there ship hacked basically have not, the only way people steal accounts is by users giving away there login information or using careless passwords.

I have had the same accounts since i first started Seafight 3 years ago with the Same Password, that has never been taken.

That is why i will prove to you that it is impossible to do so.

The contest will start today: 22/04/09 and will end on 30/04/09

The person who manages to take over that account will receive a Prize of Premium, Pearls and Game Items (Full amounts will not be disclosed but they will be enough to ensure Full Elite lvl 13 Status )

If you do manage to takeover that account please do remember that you will need to change that to your email address so that i can contact you, as well as show us exactly as to how that was done.

I can ensure you that no action will be taken against the person that is successfull in this and you have my word that you will receive the items upon showing us how that is done.

Please do keep in mind that the object of this contest is to show you that it is not possible to hack accounts when they use a secure and safe password. The only way is to have those stolen through careless use of your Passwords.

As such account security does lie to yourself as stated in the T&Cs you are fully responsible for your account and should you have that stolen through your own careless use of passwords then that is at your own loss.

I lost my account for a week. Someone took it. I had a jibberish password that had letters and numbers in it. I never shared with anyone.

Please stop blaming your customers for falling victim to something that clearly is a problem with the game. Yes, certainly there are those who do share info they shouldn't. Do not lump me in with them. Fix it. I did get my account back, but never has a real explanation for how this happened... I only get blamed for it indirectly with rediculous posts like this.
