There are certain pirate tricks of which you can hide your ship from plain view,
Just because you do not see it does not mean it is not there. The fact that this person was able to sink you does prove that there ship was indeed on the map.
Many expierenced players will be able to tell you this.

this guy IS cheating and this is the program hes using with firefox the program hes using is firebug its a add on to firefox used to manipulate the the game it is possibale to cheat its just that you dont care to look into the matter. i swill be sending a complaint on how you handled the issue with total dissrespect to us you just assume we a liars without looking into the FACTS

There is no way to cheat within our game.
Things like that can not be manipulated because they are calculated on our server...
The thing you see just is the backend which is visualising it.
There is no way somebody could manipulate the things happening on the game server.
If somebody told you he had a Cheating tool...
It is on you to believe that but we do have such assertions by users every day and within the last 2 years it never was true... ;)
You say you know about that "Cheating-Plug-in" so you can send it to me???. ;)

That is a regular FF plug-in...
You can just debug with it and change local things...
It is technically not possible to access the Server with such a tool.

That Plug-in even is older than Seafight.

(Just to let you know some details:
It technically is not possible to shoot over 30 Fields...
That is within the viewport!
Every shot from longer range is blocked by the Game server.)
Possible technical explanation:
He could have shot at you during a LAG...
(LAG= More events are arriving than the server can handle and therefore they are landing in a "queue")
Each event will be worked of piece by piece...
Therefore he could have been shooting at you during a LAG sailed away and these events got calculated after he was long gone.
Just one technical explanation.
(Not saying that that is what happened but could be possible)

Sthomas229 id# 4289499 I was one of the ships involved last night when this stuff was ging on, there was no lag happening. I on five seperate trys moved to within 3 sqaures of where battle cruiser was shown to be, hp would start to drop with no display in upper left corner of who was shooting you.

I told you that this is just a possible explanation...
I never said that was what happened...
But what I said is:
The possibility they wrote is not possible because something like that is hardcoded blocked by our servers...

It is possible to cheat on this game just like any other game. No online game has immunity to that. If you have the right stuff and good knowledge on how to do it it is possible an apparently he has figured it out. It's quite amazing. I could do it to prove that it is possible but I'd rather not get banned for life from this game. :)

seems to me theres a few people taking advantage of a bug/glitch but thats just my opinion

It is not possible...
This game is not like normal games...
You can cheat when you have access to the data...
But in this game you do not!
All data are saved at our Servers and as long as you do not have direct access to our databases you can not manipulate them and gaining access to them from the outside without us recognizing it is not possible...

Hi support,
this could be done but the game must be running in the browser of fox, but im sure bigpoint has already got security agiasnt this. Plus the endless amounts of codes he would of had to go through just to take out that he was attacking you. ( not being outters but thats long), so i do find it hard to believe the bloke was cheating..
And again...

These two things are simply technically impossible...
You are saying it is but nobody of you having a proof.

Not possible because each ship got a unique ID and the Game server can not have the same ID active at two MAPs at the same time.
Shooting all over the map???
Not possible because the game server is the one thing calculating it all!
It can not be manipulated from the outside and it is simply blocking EVERY shot made from a longer range than 30 fields.
Facts!
I can now write: He can make his ship fly...
But that does not make it true...
I told you I will come onto the sea and you can show it to me...
But you never agreed to that.
