Island defence

Would an island require personel 24hrs a day for defensive reasons.....? or are island defences enough?
Also is attacking the only way of gaining an island,if so do you also take control of any existing defences left behind?

U dont need to stay after the island for 24/24 hours. It have towers you know

But your guild need know when someone attack, because to take down all towers is very easy.

An island can defend itself, but when a large group of full pearls attack it, your island will need help of your guildmembers.
