It says 200 powder monkeys will increase the loading time by 20%. What about less than 200 powder monkeys? I don't have enough space on my ship. Will all those powder monkeys benefit me in any way?

There is infinite space for powder monkeys, they are not counted as pirates.

Do less than 200 give a lower loading rate? Good question, I don't know but I guess so.

Your monkeys use the yawl (buy elite in market or normal in shipyard) and yes less than 200 means they dont work also be aware they only live for 14 days so spend that money wisely:)

Try 10 yawls and 100 monkeys and you will find they fire at the same speed...;)
