I had an idea to advance hunting a little bit so here it is lol.
On the monsters like serenas I was thinking we could add harpoons and pearls to their loot instead of just gold. Harpoons could range in amounts from probably 1 to 10 and random chances at all the different harpoons. Also on the pearls a low amount like you'd get from the shinies.
On the NPC ships random loot that could be cannon balls, harpoons, lol pretty much whatever you'd find on your own ship. The items could be in low amounts and capped as to how many different things you could get for example (10 elite cannon balls, 5 level 2 lanterns, 4 level 3 cutlasses) that's 3 items out of I forget offhand honestly.
With better loot added to NPC's hunting would be more worth while rather than just a way to make a little cash you lose upon being captured. I hope that big point will consider giving looting rights to whoever does the most damage rather than who gets the last hit. Well that's the end of this idea lol. :)
