Breeding

For all those into coloured breeding, how do you approach it?? Do you submit the coloured animals that you get to quests and start the process all over again or do you breed to the highest and work you way back??

I work my way up. It takes forever! But working down is a really good idea. Hmmm. Never thought of doing that. Might be easier. Think I'll try working down with the pigs.
I don't know if I'll be able to restrain myself from donating though

I have no strategy except, send whatever you have to the -edit-. Just breed...

I almost always approach all FS quests as a bottom feeder. I advance through the Silver challenges first. I frequently do that so I can get to the level with the toolbox or whatever. The lowest levels are usually the easiest ones and will fill in with whatever is left over.

I also only breed on Baby Boom Days at this point. I finally have the rune, pink jelly, a mountain of pheromones and only about 150 PowerFeed. So I'll be done in a flash.

Gonna start with piggies this time and pick up some of those stars and other goodies. If I continue it'll probably be with bunnies and bats.

My entire farm is covered in Motels. I then put 4 animals on the motel, put out a scent bottle or two, dim the light down, put on some romantic music and hope for looooots of tiny little babies

Since breeding is only done on breeding days there is a lot of those little babies

I start with say cows, then I breed cows in all my motels. Always the lowest kind first, so when I run out of ordinary cows I start with the next in line, brown, ect. And when I no longer can fill all the rooms/motels - I start with the next animal.

The quest I start at the bottom and work my way up. That wasn't the plan, but it takes forever and then some before I get to the top. There is no way my FOCD can wait that long.

I constantly mill power-feed 24-7 on my farm so I have it for this event, and always start at the bottom and work my way up. I only concentrate on one animal at a time, right now it's chickens.

This time I bought a Pink Jelly to use, but haven't been able to find out what to use to extend the time. I don't know that I will need it though, I have 3 scented trees that are always out, so I have a ton of pheremones.

Hmmmm, I breed only on baby boom day since I discovered it to get the max number of critters and I have the rune open. However I found that after you submit all roasters for instance you then have to go back and make more to get to the other level.

I too have tried holding out but every time I visit the Farmer's Society my resolve crumbles and I end up submitting, sigh.

I'm only breeding sheep and I'm waiting until I have all the animals I need, then I'm going to do the whole quest at once. I only need one more gold sheep, then I'll have to start filling down. It really doesn't matter which way you do it - it still takes the same amount of animals. Once I'm done with sheep, I'll pick another animal and focus on it (torn between cows and bats).

One more gold??? How long did that take then and which other animal have you completed??

I don't think there is anything that extends Pink Jelly. An 8 hour day should be more than enough for me. I'm worried I'm going to crack and buy PowerFeed.

I have far more pheromones than PowerFeed, so I'm going to use 4 per. I'll probably spend more time recording the births than the gestation and labor.
