Artisan's Village

Welcome to the world of Artisan made items!
Learn to become a Baker,
Learn to become a Confectioner!
Learn to become a Florist!
Learn to become a Bahami Spa Manager!
Learn to become an Alchemist!

Use your farm produce to make bakery products, delicious jams, beautiful floral arrangements, Spa Creations and brew Alchemistry potions and gnomes!

* From what level can I start Crafting?
From Level 40+
* Which types of Buildings / Professions can be developed here?
At this moment, there is a Bakery, a Confectionery (Jam Factory), a Floristry, a Bahami Spa and the Alchemist trade
* Can I build all these Trades: Bakery, Confectionery, Floristry, Spa and Alchemist?
At this moment, you can open 1 for free, a 2nd one as a purchase or won at Renzo's Fair, and the 3rd trade will open automatically when the 2 other trades are both at Trade-Level 3.
(This only applies to the three trades Bakery, Confectionery and Floristry. As the Bahami Spa and Alchemist have their own requirements they also do no count in above rule.)

This does not concern the Bahami Spa and Alchemist, which have their own requirements. The Spa and Alchemist trades can ONLY be unlocked through the Tree of Wisdom for 150 stars each, after reaching level 70.
The one that you select at the beginning is the first one that you will build.
If you wish to open a 2nd Artisan Building, this will take you to the Bank to unlock the 2nd building for €1.99 / US$ 2.99 / £1.75 (depending your currency)

Additionally, a bonus in this opening pack is "300 ingredients"
This will be a mix of different special ingredients, regardless of what trading you enabled. (100 Salt, 100 Sugar, 100 Florists Wire)
The Renzo prize for another craft will also help you enable your 2nd or 3rd basic trade for free ( Bakery, Confectionery or Floristry).

This will, however, only "unlock it" and you'll still need to do the quests / challenges / climb through trade levels.
For example:
if you choose to develop the Bakery :
Before:

Fully upgraded (5 steps):
Once you've validated your choice of career/building,
you'll then be taken to the Farmer's Society Building,
where you'll find the first of 5 quests to learn to become a Master Baker/Confectioner!

* Why is there only one challenge on the Quest (no silver-gold-diamond challenges)?
This is because the 5 Quests are split up so that you learn to make one aspect of the Career at a time.
* I see that I need Salt (for the Bakery), Preserving Sugar (for the Confectionery), Floral Wire (for the Floristry), Herbal elixir (for the Bahami Spa) and Mandrakes (for the Alchemistry): Where can I find these?

  • These can be found as drop-items whilst harvesting your farms. Please note that you only get drops for the trades that you have enabled in your Farm.
  • You can buy some in the Supply Store.
  • If you do not have enough to complete a recipe: You can also buy some in the Craft Building that you've unlocked, by clicking the corresponding blue + icon on the recipe ingredient list.
  • You can also win special ingredients on the Farmwheel
  • You can also buy some in the regular mini-Events: Crafting products sale.
  • Get them gifted by your friends/neighbours
* What happens when I complete each Quest?
You'll win an upgrade for the Trade that you have chosen.
When you return to Artisan's Village (or refresh your browser page) you'll notice that you have an extra level unlocked, allowing you to make new recipes.
* How do I make some crafted products?
When you open the Bakery (for example), you'll see the Level Overview, you can see a basic item (like dough) and a finished product (like bread roll).
The "Basic Item" is always the one at the top of the list. (on this example: Dough)
To produce the basic item, you'll need ingredients like wheat, and some new products like salt.
To produce the finished product, you'll need a basic item and other ingredients.

Any items shown in RED mean that you don't have enough.
You must produce some on your farm, or buy some at the Market, or use the pay-BB option by clicking the Blue + Icon

If you're missing some water, and you choose to buy some from the craft building, it will open up the Water Tank pop-up, and it will cost 1 CC per unit of water bought.

* How long does it take to produce item?
Each item has various production times...
Level 1 items take about 2 minutes
Level 2 items take about 4 minutes
Level 3 items take about 6 minutes
Level 4 items take about 8 minutes
Level 5 items take about 10 minutes
* What can I do with the crafted items?
You can use the basic items to make other products.
  • You'll see the "Basic Items" on a special section in your Barn inventory, called "Trade Products"
  • The finished products can be seen on a shelf in the Artisan Building, just under the 'skillpoints' progress bar.
These products can be
  • stored on the shelf, until you choose what you want to do.
  • used to level-up in the craft-building
  • (will add the same amount of trade-points that were given when making the item.
for example, an apple jam gives 20 trade-points when made, if you choose to "use" it to upgrade - it will give 20 trade-points to the level you are on)
  • gifted to your neighbours/buddies, they'll see them in their Pantry, especially if the items are from a trade that they do not yet have built!!
  • or eaten! (see below)
These actions can be done either by clicking on one of the items on the shelf

make sure you have the ToolTips option "on" in your settings!
or by clicking the "Pantry" icon in the Barn inventory (at the top-right)
This will open up your Pantry, where you can choose what you want to do with your produced goods
This is where you'll see the goods sent to you by your neighbours too.
You'll see them, and can use them, eat them or whatever, even if you don't have the 2nd or 3rd trade opened
* What is the point of eating a finished product?
By "eating" a product, you get a special bonus, which can be:
  • Experience Points (i.e. Bread Roll = 200 EP)
  • EP Bonuses (i.e. Easter Marmelade = +30% EP bonus for 12h)
  • You can see what the bonus for each item is by hovering your cursor over the "crafted product on the shelf"
You'll also see, on the left of your farm, a 'buff chart' that will show you bonuses/Buffs you now have "activated" (See below).
* Is there a maximum of items that can be "used" to level up in my trade building?
Yes. The maximum is 5 items per day
* What happens when I've completed the level bar in the Bakery / Confectionery/ Floristry?
You'll see a "!" appear at the right side of the bar.
You MUST Click on this icon to unlock the next quest in Farmer's Society.
However! Level 5, at this time, has no limits.
* How many items can I make in the same batch?
The limit is 50 items.
Since the 27th of June 2012, a new Category System will be implemented into the Crafting Buffs/Bonuses.

As you can see on the charts below,
each product now has a "Buff Category":
  • none = Takes up no "Buff" Slots when eaten
  • Silver = Takes up a silver "buff" slot
  • Gold = Takes up a gold "buff" slot
  • Diamond = Takes up a diamond "buff" slot
* How many "buff" slots will I have?
To start with there will be:
  • 1 Diamond slot
  • 2 Gold slots
  • 4 Silver slots
You can use the bottom arrows to scroll to see the rest of the slots
* How do I know "ingame" which crafted product is in which "buff" category?
In your Pantry, for example, accessible from your Barn Inventory, you'll see on the "tooltips" (the info bubbles) which category each product is in:

* What happens when I eat a Diamond product, for example?
As usual, after having clicked on the fork/spoon icon, you'll be asked to confirm that you really want to "eat" this product.
Once you've validated, you'll see your "buff" in the corresponding diamond slot:

* Can I also eat a Gold product and silver products?
Yes, you have 2 slots for Gold products, therefore you can eat 2 different gold-type crafted products
And you have 4 slots for Silver products, therefore you can eat 4 different silver-type crafted products

* If I eat 4 apple jams, will it use up 1 slot? or 4 slots?
As shown below, eating several identical products will stack them on one single slot:
Similarly, if you've already eaten 4 apple jams, and you eat 1 more apple jam, it will extend the time shown on the Buff-Slot
* What will happen if I have already eaten a Diamond Product, and I try to eat a 2nd Diamond Product ?
When you attempt to "eat" more than you have available slots for, you'll receive a warning pop-up that you don't have any available slots
* Can I delete an existing "buff" if I wish to use that slot for another product?
Yes.
All you need to do, is to click the small "x" at the top right of the slot that you want to 'free', then confirm your choice.
The deleted product will disappear.
The slot will be 'available' for another product of your choice.

* Will my Pets use up these slots?
No.
Pets "buffs" will be displayed on the top-line, as shown here:

* Will the Easter Row of Clouds use up one of the slots?
No, it will use up a space on the top row for "other buffs"

Note please

Below products chart gives you the overview of all the normal created products in the Bahami Spa without the use of the Mixer. The use of the
Mixer can result in various different buffs/effects explained in the chapter
"How to make Spa products" after below chart.

Chart

Shown in red are the basic products needed to make other products, they cannot be sold or eaten. You will see them included in the other product recipies, where needed.

NOTE: Since the launch of the new island, there have been changes to the buffs given
of two of the products.
1. Red punch now gives one time reward of 2500 Bahamarana EP.
2. Mango Orange smoothie now gives one time reward of 7500 Bahamarama EP.

How to make Spa products

Once you've completed the Spa Trainee Quest, you'll see this in your Spa building:

You can make products in the normal method that you know from the other trade buildings.
You can then decide:
  • to "eat" them to get a buff,
  • to "use" them to level-up in your trade building,
  • or sell them
  • or gift them
  • or Blend them in the Deluxe Fruit Mixer !!
This is a new type of function:
the Deluxe Fruit Mixer

You can reach this new function by clicking on this icon:

In the Deluxe Fruit Mixer, you can blend 3 Spa products of your choice, and transform them into a NEW BUFF
  1. Select the 3 Spa products of your choice on the ingredients on the left
  2. Click the green "start" button
  3. You'll get a pop-up describing the buff that will start immediately (if you have an available slot on your buffslot-system)!
Please note the following:
The Deluxe Fruit Mixer will allow you to "blend" any of your already created Spa poducts, and also the "fruit bundles" that are amongst the products of the Mixer itself.

The "power" of this buff is linked to the procucts that you select to blend: The higher valued products will produce more valuable buffs. However, the results are random, which means that even if you blend the same 3 products two times will give different buffs in that precise 'value'

In some cases, you will obtain "Fruit bundles" that you can use also as a Spa product to be blended with others.

If you obtain a buff for which you do not have enough space on your buffslot-system, you will get the following choice:
  • Cancel an existing Crafting Buff (Slot) to replace it with this new one
  • or, transform the buff that you have just 'created' into a Fruit Bundle that you can use later.
    • NOTE: there are 3 values of Fruit bundles: Silver, Gold, Diamond

Possible Buff Chart

This charts shows the current possible buffs that can be created with the Mixer.

NOTE: Since some of the Deluxe Fruit Mixer "buffs/effects" created have an effect on certain categories of crops only, these have now been split up into 4 sections.

In the future there may also be other Crafted Products, or even quests that ask for just one or another of these "categories".

These are as follows:
  1. Grains
  2. Vegetables
  3. Flowers
  4. others
On this chart you can see which "crop" is in which Category.

Creating Gnome Gardens

This craft is a little different than the others. In the Alchemist craft, all of the recipes are base products that are later mixed together to get a Gnome Garden. They cannot be sold in the market.

Completed Gnome Gardens can be found behind the Decorations Tab in your inventory and can be placed on your field to activate the buff. The buff will only work on the field on which it is placed. Alchemist buffs do not use up buff slot.

To create a Gnome Garden:

Step 1
- Mix a Gnome in the Alchemist craft building. This is done by opening up the recipe level and choosing the Gnome recipe. Choose the number of Gnomes you wish to make and then click on the 'Brew' button.

Step 2 - Mix a base product of the same level as the gnome. This is done by opening up the recipe level and choosing the product you wish to make. Choose the number of products you wish to make, than click on the 'Brew' button.

Step 3 - After you have both base products made, one of which is a gnome, click on the 'combination button' (the little square with a picture of a gnome holding a candle) under the Alchemist's table.

You then will be taken to the Transform Gnome screen where you will get to choose your final mixture, which will result in a Gnome Garden.

Step 4 - Choose your Gnome to mix with a product to transform. Each level will have one type of gnome to mix with that level products.

Step 5 - Choose the product to mix with the gnome. A description of the buff will appear under the picture to the right.

Step 6 - If you wish to create that mixture, click the 'green arrow' at the bottom of the window.

Also made available to you is an overview of the buffs that you can make. To show the overview window, click on the 'overview button' which is located next to the 'combination button'.

Using the gnome garden

When the Gnome Garden is complete, you will be able to find it in your inventory, (behind the deco tab) as 'consumable item', and place it on a field. The Gnome Garden requires a blank 2x2 space on the field in order to be placed.

Using Gnome Gardens:

To activate the buff, take the Gnome Garden from your inventory and place it on a field. The magical effects of the buff will begin when the Gnome Garden is placed on the field. The buff only works on the field where the Gnome garden is placed upon.

When the buff has expired, the Gnome Garden must be removed using the delete tool to free up the space. It will stay as a decoration until removed.

There is a limit to the number of Gnome Gardens that can be placed on a field. If you are on level 1 of the Alchemist trade, you can place a maximum of 1 Gnome Garden on each field. If you are on level 2 of the Alchemist trade, you can place a maximum of 2 Gnome Gardens on each filed, 3 if level 3, and so on.

Note please

1. Once a Gnome Garden is placed on a field, it cannot be removed until the time of the buff is over (in other words, cancelling the buff is not possible).

2. The Gnome Gardens cannot be placed in the park.

3. Even though a Gnome Garden with an expired buff will show a hammer icon, you cannot delete it by clicking on the hammer icon. You must use the delete tool from the popout menu on the left of your farm frame.

4. Buff effects from the Gnome Gardens only work on the field where the Gnome garden is placed. It does not affect the other fields in any way.
