This is "How to" change your farm
UserName,
Password or
Email Address.

You can do just ONE of these three changes if you wish,
but firstly: you will need to CONFIRM your email address
this will allow your Account to be more secure, making it much more difficult for your account to be hacked in any way.
If you don't confirm your account, a hacker might do so!.

Click on Account Settings to change any of the above:

This will take you directly to the Account change page

You will be prompted to confirm that this is in fact YOU asking for an Account detail change.

Usually the original email login address (that you signed in to get your account) will be written in the email address box:
ONLY CHANGE IT HERE IF THE EXISTING ADDRESS NO LONGER EXISTS

The text above says:

To ensure account security and prevent any unauthorized persons from changing your login details, we will send you a confirmation link to this e-mail address. Just open the e-mail and click on the link to confirm the changes.

Click on Continue

Check your home email inbox.
You should receive a message like this.

Click on the confirmation-link shown by the red arrow.

This will take you back to your farm.
Re-click on Settings, and Account details.
The popup is now different.

Now that you have confirmed your account, you can choose to change any of these options:

- Change Username
- Change Password
- Change Email Address
- Enable/Disable Farmerama Newsletter

How to change ONLY your Username:

Fill in your NEW Username on the top line
and your ACTUAL Password on the "Current Password"

Click Change

you will receive a "Success" popup, informing you that:

you'll receive an e-mail with a security link from us. Please confirm this link so that we can change your login info.

The 2nd email looks like this:

click on the confirmation link shown by the arrow above.
DO NOT DELETE THIS EMAIL as it contains your new Username.

You will then see this popup (which could be in german, or another language... )

To change ONLY your Password:

IMPORTANT:
Passwords should be complicated enough not too be hacked.
Preferably 6-10 letters/numbers/caracters to make it really unique.
If you do forget your own password, you can have it sent to you by email, on the login page. (see below)
Passwords like your own name, or username, or 'Farmerama' are not complicated enough!

Re-click on Settings, and Account details.

Fill in the 3 lines outlined in red here:

Click on change.

you will receive a "Success" popup, informing you that:

you'll receive an e-mail with a security link from us. Please confirm this link so that we can change your login info.

As explained higher, click on the confirmation link.
DO NOT DELETE THIS EMAIL as it contains your new PASSWORD.

If you have forgotten your password

you can get it sent to you directly from the login page:



you'll be asked to enter your username or email address:


click on Submit

This confirmation popup informs you that your password has been sent to your email address.



Your email arrives with the reminder of your password



DO NOT DELETE THIS EMAIL as it contains your PASSWORD

To change ONLY your Email address:

Re-click on Settings, and Account details.

Fill in the:
New email address
Current Password

Click on change.

you will receive a "Success" popup, informing you that:

you'll receive an e-mail with a security link from us. Please confirm this link so that we can change your login info.

You'll receive a confirmation link on the old address, asking you to click on the confirmation link.

Then you'll be taken to a screen where you're informed that your change is accepted, and the new confirmation should arrive on your NEW email address:
click on the confirmation link.

Tip: Apply these rules all the time, no matter where you are. Only then can you surf the Web safely!

Here are a few tips for you to maximize account security and protect your account from others. The following precautions will allow you to safeguard your account yourself.

Verify/confirm your e-mail first: Always use your real e-mail address. If you do this, nobody will be able to change your username or password. If you wish to change your login information, you'll also be required to confirm/verify your e-mail address by clicking on a confirmation link which has be sent to your e-mail address.

Be sure to change your password regularly: The more often you change your login information, the safer your account will be and the better protection you will have.

Pick a complex password: Your password should contain both lower case and upper case letters as well as numbers. Passwords such as "qwert", "12345" or "ABC" aren't safe. Also never use your nickname as your password.

Never tell anyone your account information: It doesn't matter if it's another player who you're friends with, a supporter, admin or moderator - never pass on your password/username. Our employees will also never ask you for this information, neither per e-mail, ICQ, MSN or Skype.

Never use the same login data twice: Other providers, e.g. those with Teamspeak servers, could misuse your login information.

Follow these rules to ensure maximum account security. Account theft can happen any time and there's no better way to stop it then to do it yourself!

To change ONLY your Newsletter Subscription:

Re-click on Settings, and Account details.

Tick or Untick
the Newsletter subscription box

Click on change to confirm.

you will now receive/not-receive any Newsletters from BigPoint
