Howdy Farmers!

I'm cbroo1, but you can just call me cbroo for short.

I do support for the English (US) games at Bigpoint.

I hail from a state in the US that's sometimes considered the midwest, but I (and many others) consider it the south. Still, I'm basically a city gal & the only farming that I've ever done has been virtual. I've been living in Germany since 2006 and don't have plans to move any time soon.

I speak English and German (sometimes both at the same time aka Denglish) & have a Bachelor's in German Studies and wrote my thesis on the localization of hip-hop culture in Hamburg. When I'm not planting and harvesting crops, taking pirate tests, refining space rocks or doing support stuff, then I'm working on the next mix for my monthly radio show, where I play German rap music on the airwaves.

I love internet social media/networking/gaming and how it brings all kinds of diverse people together from all corners of the globe. It's a small world indeed.

I'm looking forward to getting to know you guys and gals. If you want to know more or just ask some questions. Feel free to drop me a line here.

Happy Farming!

/cbroo

Cool

girl you are a frantic worker, it is a wonder you ever sleep. I spent 4 years in Germany.if I ever leave the US that is where I will relocate to. I am half German and half Cherokee Indian and I do live in the south(Alabama). Good luck and enjoy the life offered in Germany.

Hello,
First of all, I would like to thank you on adding that buddy request section under users corner, it's so nice to finally have an area for one instead of finding it in all other section of threads.
The other day I was thinking to myself of how it would be nice to know a little bit about our moderators and support group, nice to finally meet you three
Take care!

@warf: My secret (to staying awake) is just enough coffee, but never too much! Working with a good team is also a huge help!

@xarina: Yes, there were quite a few posts requesting an area where players can sort of just hang out and shoot the breeze -- while also making sure that people who have questions can find their answers. I think this is a good compromise. And I feel lucky that (with very few exceptions) the players/posters have been helping each other out and reminding each other of the rules. So my thanks goes out to the users!

Nice to be able to talk to someone else that hails from the south I myself are from Georgia and currently working as a contractor in Southern Iraq. I tend to play Farmerama and Dark Orbit to keep my sanity from sky-rocketing.

You'll see me post from time to time, I hope that I don't give you a headache from the unusual questions.

By the way, I happened to notice that my forums control panel stuff from DO bled over into this game, I am using the same name, so that's probably why. But it will show my DO clan avatar and signature (I've been manually unselecting the box to not show the sig, lol).

Hallo Cbroo,

I, too, am from the south in the US (Florida) and have lived in Germany since 1998 (12 years). We live in Schweinfurt. We just recently vacationed in Hamburg and loved it.

I saw they are looking for Forum Moderators and I would love a chance to apply for that. How do I find the application or what do I do? Any helpful advice would be great!

Thanks, and glad to see a fellow southerner!
