Hi joyce. P normally has a sleep over every second year, and the normal party the other. But its so hard to think of things to do. I would love to take a group of kids to a rollerskating rink or something, but it's so costly. Oh I just had a thought, there is a park at the end of the street here, so if she has some girls for a sleep over, they can go running around out there in the dark and have a pile of scary fun... maybe, but it means I'll have to go out with them. Oh its just toooooo hard.

Ct i hear ya about costs.. we limited ours to ( the twins ) to 1 friend each, took them to bowling alley and they had a blast, it was costly too. We have also just rented movies and had movie night with popcorn and other fun foods. Of course boys are diffrent than girls... maybe ask P what would be her dream b-day theme.. who knows she may surprise you, maybe a camp out in the living room with her bff or just hang with Mom and do girl stuff,, ya never know that preteen stage is tricky. I would ask her though what she would like to do ( within reason of course), I know at that age I was deeply embarrassed when my mom and Aunt threw a surprise party for me. I was extremely shy with anyone not family. Just thoughts.

Heya Everyone!
I am not doing the event, but instead I am going to TRY and make some money off it. Since chickens are in demand, I have converted my farm into a big manure-making mess. It looks like this on the green meadow and the main field. ![]() The keyword up there is try. I just spent over 15,000 ccs buying chicken pens, so that means I have to sell about 88 chickens to cover costs of the pens. Then there is the cost of the wheat for the feed, and the water...... I think I will still be able to make some money...... Well anyways enough of me. @ Amy and Venus I will most likely not be around so ![]() @ trish Have fun packing...... if that is possible.... ![]() @ ct I don't really know of anything for Pariss's birthday party. Sorry. The best thing I can say is try to ask some of her friends what they would recommend, just then there is the fact that 11 year olds often have a hard time not telling their friends everything... Anyways hope your week goes alright. @ Laughi Glad to see ya back. Don't think too hard about the barn. You might get a headache! ![]() @ silkie Glad you are back on both accounts ![]() Everyone else, Hello!!! ![]()

Hi hi, it's good to see you. Yep, you should try and cash in on those chickens. I'm doing a little of the event but not fussing over it. Good luck selling those chickens. Last night before bed (about 8 hours ago) chickens were empty on my market, but the maximum sell price was 213cc because the "interactive market' had not caught up. This morning there are over 200 offers and the max price is 450cc although some bright sparks have already brought it down to around 300. Some just dont understand that when the demand is high there is NO need to reduce the prices by so much.
Dont get me started on CAC. hehe. Oops too late. I placed 2 on the market over a week ago (thought they were supposed to drop off after a day) and had them listed at places 2 and 3 on the first page. Over the last fortnight they have dropped back to page 9, then made a comeback yesterday to page 4, but now they are on page 14 LOL. Cant afford to list more than the 2 as it takes me 3 days to get enough sugar to make 1, and then I remember I am running low on PJ, so then that uses the sugar. Grr. Anyway.... P's birthday - she will be expecting one of one sort or the other, so a surprise party is out of the question (she's not that shy joyce). I might just have a standard one here and she can pick what she wants to do. Last edited by ctindaldavies : 11.07.2012 at 01:06. |

I am having the same problem with my pumpkin jam as you are with your CAC. It used to be 17,000 in my market. Made like 30 of it, went to the market, and its 6,500. So now I have a bunch sitting in my inventory cause that is like a smack in the face to sell it at that price. I dont have CAC yet and only a level 2 confectioner so I don't really have anything else to make.
For some reason I am always working on making money, but yet I never seem to make any. I guess I just don't relize how much I spend.... ![]()

Just a quick hi and bye! Things are busy here. Hubby has another 4 weeks off due to his knee, and since the CAC/PJ change, I'm getting a bit burned out on farming =p I might actually skip this event... (wow)
Hope all are well *big hugs* Gotta run...

Hi there CJ. I can understand hubby being off work has a two-fold effect. Nice to have him home and spending time together, and also wishing he wasnt home all the time getting under foot. I image the good outweighs any bad though.
I did the first 5 levels of the event and thats it. Selling my remaining chickens to make up for the lost CAC and PJ sales which just are not worth it now. I'm home today without work, its a left over from when I had the flu a couple of weeks ago. So I am sitting here on the couch rugged up under blankets watching a rerun of Doctor Quinn: Medicine Woman. It can be quite amusing when we take another look at what we used to love with today's eyes. Still a nice show though. Cringing though as just saw an ad for a new tv show - The Shire- Ugg, it looks like an Australian take on Jersey Shore, *gag*. |

Howdy all!
Just popping in for a quick hello! I am totally exhausted, but the good news is that I finally feel like I am getting down to the last stage of packing! I will do part of the event, but since I will be loading up the truck on the 21st, leaving for CO in the 22nd, and hopefully arriving late on the 23rd, and unloading on the truck on the 24th, I am not going to put any intense effort into trying to finish it...may even just finish the first few levels and switch over to selling chickens for the remainder of the event! Night all! Trish
