I like this idea, but only if the recipes include a good porter.
My favorite beer is Labatt's Porter, but I love just about any dark brew. ![]()

I came here to post this exact idea, but I see that agri63 already beat me to it. I think this is a great idea and could be a lot of fun!

I agree it's a great idea, but I suspect it won't be taken up, just due to the bit that Farmerama is a game for all ages and I don't think (but can easily be proved wrong) that it would be appropriate for younger ones. Sorry to be a party pooper.....maybe a smoothie factory instead?

Well there's the Beer Garden Hamster that drinks out of a giant boot (an ep deco item), he makes my screen blurry when I click him for experience points! Although I'm not sure how you can justify saying that alcohol is beneficial in a game for all ages... It would have to be beneficial to be an artisan trade!
Maybe a smoothie shack would be better. Or you could always have a age limit for that particular trade. |

Love the idea of a brewery! Afterall, what is beer but liquid bread?
Do see that BP may not include it (though they were willing to celebrate Oktoberfest), as a brewery implies alcohol, and this may be a problem for some players. However, if a person does not approve of alcohol he/she simply would not have to run a brewery in the Artisan's village. It is up to him/her. If you add a brewery, why not a winery too? Put those Bahamarama grapes to use making wine! And one could make flavored/fruit wines by combining your grapes with other fruits/spices/flavors: Plum wine, Strawberry wine, Peach wine, Pear wine, Blueberry wine, "Freeze it" to make ice wine. The list goes on and on. |

might just as well go all the way and make the good stuff, too.
if we grow aloe on the island, we'd be able to make a killer tequila. there are so many cool local "spirits" in the world, it'd be a shame not to take advantage, right? addition: not suggesting that any minors shoud be drinking, of course. An age limit would definitely make sense on this one. Just thinking it would be a fun addition. --gloomymonday

Bad for the animals; the sheep might drink it and loose their footing, or the ostriches might have a misuse problem the're trying to put behind them. You never know...
There was octoberfest event on the game, of course, but I doubt it'll happen. I remember the video for it had a disclaimer about alcohol. Wheat is already used alot, too, but we could dream up uses for island grapes. Maybe a quest line. ![]()

just have a liquid refreshment stand where you you can have shakes and smoothies, ciders, wines, spirits, beer and champers. you could probably even add coffee's and tea. A refreshment stand making all kind of liquid delights could open up all kinds of brews both hot and cold, alcoholic to non alcoholic and would cover all ages.
