Game playing in slow motion - any advice?

Hi!

I asked this question in regular section and mod's suggested I ask it here as they were unable to really help me.

I've been playing daily for over a year and really lilke the game -- level 82 now. My problem is that I am not computer savy at all and can't fix any technichal issues that occur on my own very often.

A few weeks ago I renewed and upgraded my virus protection (Avira) and now my game is playing in slow motion. I have most current update of flash player (Adobe -- I think) and have allowed bigpoint through firewall but if game was any slower it would be running backwards. All other computer programs and uses run as normal so slowness seems only limited to this game. Any ideas?

Ititially game now takes almost 4 min to even load up to 100%, another minit to appear then spins daisies for another min or so. When I switch fields it takes another min of spinning daisies for new field to appear and when I click on anything it is a very delayed reaction. I have the auto harvester but even with that it generally takes me almost 18 min to harvest/plant and rotate through the areas on my farm whereas it used to only take 5 min. before.

If I get impatient and accidentially double click on something the game spits me out mid operation and I have to log back on again and endure the entire process again.

At one point my game play slowed a little when they implemented the gift log but got a 'want to play faster' pop-up, activated the link and all slowness disappeared. Any ideas how to get that pop-up back as it might help speed things up again?

@countrykids. If you want the "faster" popup to appear, you must clear cache.

Every night before I log off, I clear cache.

When I log on first thing in the morning, the "faster" popup will always appear.

If you're not computer savvy... Your best bet might be to take it in for "free check". Recently Staples here in the States was doing that.

It's worth trying the clearing cache thing anyway.

Is it laptop or desktop? Apple Mac or IBM/MS Windows type?

Complete cache clearing very regularly is necessary for Farmerama, for some reason. Nothing else I do online requires that so much. I clear mine before logging in to Farmerama every time, otherwise my loading will be slow and glitchy too.
A useful and thorough free cleaner called CCleaner is availble to download if you wish, and is very easy to use, but you will need someone techie to make sure you have the right boxes ticked.
Your browser will have a cache cleaner, so has your computer in Internet Options/Internet properties under the General tab/Browsing History.
Your virus protection might be slowing you down. I use AVG, which is free, and it's not too bad. They are all a bit clunky, some worse than others.
