Well, to add my six pennyworth -
I'm one of the newer players and am only just (tonight!) a level 2 confectioner, so a long way away from the nirvana of CAC-making. Neither do I have a lot of RL cash to spend. But I did buy the recent basket that included a couple of CACs, and I spent CCs in the market to get myself some PJ - I wanted to see what all the fuss was about before I opened my mouth to comment. Having (briefly) had the CAC + PJ experience I can see why losing it altogether is so anger-inducing, and I'm actually quite annoyed that it won't be there waiting for me when (if) I ever get to the higher confectionery levels. I've never come close to finishing an event - instead I set myself my own targets each time and try and reach them, and grit my teeth a bit when I see how much easier it seems to be for other farmers, remembering that they've been playing longer/more intensely/more competitively than me. This doesn't mean I think newbies don't have a right to moan - we all have a right to moan (that's not the same as BEING right to moan!) So, despite being new, and despite being almost always CAC-less, I think it's wrong to change the buffs. Especially as the way it's being done seems to be so cack-handed - looks like BP is running round like a headless chicken trying to find something that will a) change things radically because that's what they said they'd do, and b) change things as little as possible so as not to alienate long-term/revenue-making farmers. Frankly, it seems like a rather peevish reaction from BP - and if they were going to react at all, and remove the unintended CAC + PJ effect, then they would have had much more credibility if they'd done it straight away. If they choose not to keep an eye on the discussions - and 'don't realise' that things like this affect are in play - well, more fool them. And finally - with all the recent glitches and catastrophes (need I mention the Farm Wheel Farrago?) they should really be trying to build up goodwill not foster resentment. Oh yeah - and give the bakers a CAC/PJ equivalent for goodness sake. That's it. Said my (rather long) piece. |

Hello? Anyone there? BigPoint?
Ahem.... "We know that many of you invested a lot of time and energy into getting recipes, leveling up, crafting etc. – this won’t be lost! We are thinking about rewarding players that already put a lot of effort in the buff system by giving them additional buff slots or something similar. More details on this to follow soon." um....where are these so-called rewards? Just didn't want that little bit to get lost and all. Carry on. ![]() |

It does seem odd that they encouraged the use of CAC/PJ in their events, their packages to buy and even selling the recipes for BB's that were originally won in the fall event. Then, a short time after they sold the recipes, they decide to revamp the whole system. This comes as many of the players are approaching the end of the third level in the artisan's where they would finally be able to craft the recipes themselves.
I am in the last stages of tier 3 on both the bakery and the confectioner's and was looking forward to finally being able to use the CAC buff as I had earned the recipes last fall. I am not sure if I really want to do another artisan craft up and then see the rules changed again. |

oh don't you know funky, we are supposed to be overjoyed to relearn the buffs so that when they screw up again and find people are happy with something they can yank it and do this whole shenanigan all over again. It was yet another lie bp told us to shut us up while they were busy trying to devise more ways to seperate us from our money.

Alot of us have worked hard to get where we are.I have done mine without spending any money and will keep it that way,you don't have to hit the wallet, but I do play another BP game and you have to hit your wallet there and they don't even care as long as they have more players coming in to spend money.I just hope this game doesn't get that way,the changes need to stop or really need to help everyone. scarebaby 1055151

~ i will never forget that statement made in the O.A. In fact, I have posted somewhere about the what if's if BP keeps pushing and doing wrongly with all players and not be fair.
yonkers... i don't remember where i stated it but i will state it again. Do wrong things to people wrongly things can happen. Pushing to much on $ is one thing that will drive players to leave and i have stated that several days ago and i am

Yes, we are deprived with some craft products not stacking the way used to, but I do believe that for truly constructive criticism we simply need to give it some time, to see how it will pan out. As in life, often a drawback brings along an improvement. I fear we are all so busy condemning the new system we might overlook the good sides to it. Time will tell.
One suggestion though. If I activate 5 owls and 5 crows, can't there be one icon for each pet bonus that says the total %. As I am scattered brain and sometimes even forget my name while farming, I now need to go count the icons to see if I have activated them all, before harvesting the crops/pens. Can I get a nickel for my thoughts now? ![]()

yes time will tell.... Iris ..... I asked that quest to one of the moderators and they told me... they all are set individually because each one has their own timers... still makes no sense but it is as it is

Thnx VickyB71, I have noticed the timer now as well, could have sworn it was not there yesterday. But it does make sense: if you activate two bonuses e.g. 5 min apart, and they would show in one icon only... what would be the time left...? This way each shows own corresponding time...
![]() All good now, I take my above 'compaint' back! ![]()
