Oxcar Event Forum Competiton Entry Thread

Howdy Farmers!

In honor of the Oxcar event, we are having a forum competition.

Write a short scene from an original Oxcar-worthy farm themed movie. It can be a comedy or a drama. Please keep in mind this is a family friendly forum when choosing your subject matter and dialog.

Only one entry per person, please!

Time Frame: Deadline for contest entries is Wesnesday, 29 February 12 noon CET.

Guidelines: 250 words maximum. If you put a brief description of the characters before the script, the descriptions won't count toward the 250 maximum words.

Prizes: Three winners will be chosen. Each will receive 50 script books, 500x gerbera, 5x trade licences, 5x gift licenses and 5 switching licenses.

We will announce the winners some time on Thursday, 1 March.

Scarlett added again… , the number didn’t change. Oh fiddle de dee…. I just can’t concentrate when I have a pretty new feather in my bonnet. The peacock feather from the peacock pen was just what I needed to pick up my spirits. Oh Ashley………..why can’t you farm pumpkins???? I need these pumpkins for my jam factory…..if only I hadn’t agreed to not interfere.. with CAC I could get enough pumpkins to keep my jam factory running at top speed. I could be making so many more country coins. If only I hadn’t promised Melanie…….. she’s happy …she got Ashley and sugar.

The last visit to the jam factory worried Scarlett. I need those pumpkins!!!!! I can ask any price I want for pumpkin jam. Someday I will be rich and then I can act like the lady mother brought me up to be. Maybe a new quest will help??? A new bauble for the park???

With enough country coins I can buy that farm land just North of the meadow…. That would make a great pumpkin farm. I must grow enough pumpkins!

Rhett, darling…. I need some country coins to buy some farm land….its a good deal Rhett and we can raise pumpkins and make pumpkin jam and make our fortune!
Oh Rhett, I need that land – I need those pumpkins – I need that jam!!!

Scene: Huge Castle

Characters:

Petunia, the Pig Witch (Illy's Wicked Stepmother)
Jack the Scarecrow (Petunia's Faithful Servant)

"Mirror, Mirror on the wall, who has the fairest garden of all."

"Illy, of course" the Mirror replied.

"Illy has to go, Jack. I'm fed up with her garden looking better than mine. I can only grow weeds and sludge pits, she has violets, orchids and gerbera. Take her to the Magical Glade and lose her!" said Petunia.

"Okay, Pet" said Jack obediently.

"Let's play a game of hide and seek, Illy" suggested Jack.

Illy loved games! "Okay, but not for long, it's getting dark."

She closed her eyes, counted to 100 but when Illy looked, Jack had gone - and it was getting seriously dark!

"Oh dear, what can I do?" All of a sudden, she heard a strange noise - and it was coming her way!

"Fizz, buzz, quack, quack. Where's that party? Perhaps I took the wrong quack quack turn there. Ooh, what have we here? Hello, you lost too?"

"Yes, my wicked stepmother had me brought here."

"Well, come with me, we are having a party and everyone is invited. I'll ..."

"Barny, BARNY?"

"Over here Pepsi!"

They followed the voice and found themselves on a beautiful farm, with happy animals and pretty flowers.

"Oh, how wonderful. Who lives here?"

"Kikkin. We all have farms, you can too if you like."

So, Illy joined Farmerama, met so many happy people (Pepsi, Kikkin, Kaydd, DoubleBalloon, Bella, Iris and Garaint and so many, many more) and became a part of a very happy family and lived, well, happily ever after!
