i was thinking lately that there were alot of events being put into play to push people closer to opening baharama. in my opinion baharama isn't opened up by many since alot may have quit the game by then. but with these events and bonus experience being given by quests i think they want to start implementing baharama into the game more? i mean 100ep per ladybug this event!
not complaining just an observation, i love this game.
I've been in Bahamarama for a few days, but it's not all rosy there. Good thing, though, there is no more rain. Got rained twice but was adequately insured.
- Crops don't sell that much and you have to buy seeds and pens and trees. I'm having to rely on the Island orders.
- Planting space is limited and not symmetrical. I am an orderly person. Hate chaos.
- <For me> Feather Collector as rare as Queen Bee.
Just adds another field to tend, and becomes difficult if you log in once a day. Weeds, I hear, grow after just 9 hours. Once-a-day logging means Bahamarama is not for you, unless you plan to go the animals route.
I'm level 50, but I still have quite a way to go to get to Bahamarama. From what Bhodho syas, it doesn't sound like all that much fun really. For instance, it's probably not a good idea to plant overnight crops, is it? High chance of weeds, especially if you have to go to school or work the next day. I think they should extend the weed time to maybe 12 hours at least.
Of course, it would be great if they got rid of weeds altogether - they did with the rain, so who knows? :D I know it's meant to be more challenging, but 9 hours seems very difficult to work around.
Overnight crops???
:eek::eek::eek:
In Bahamarama???

Hahahaha! That bad, huh? You could do it by going to bed at midnight and getting up before 9 am lol! :D
I can't really comment though, I haven't got there yet. I guess I'd better start saving a lot of CC for seeds!
You don't need CCs for seeds. There is a different currency.

Oh right! Palm Pennies, I forgot that :o :D
I love the Island, and I think there does seem to be a lot of EP given at Events lately. Not sure if it's to push for players to get to the Island quicker, or just a good reward (for some).
I work from home, on my PC, so planting overnight crops has never been an issue for me. Early levels I didn't plant overnight though. Wasn't much point as they grew so quick anyway. :p
I do like the various animals on there, and yes Bhodho, the first few levels are very hard to build up PP. Once you do you will have more fun. I just sell using Farmhouse Orders. I don't need another type of crop & currency to work out at the market, and it doesn't pay much anyway. I usually only sell at the market with my main farm when prices are high anyway, and just standard feed crops to make CC.
Once you get a few levels up, and the crops take longer, it'll be more fun. I hope anyway. :)
The Monkeys are great, and so are the Sloths. The production pens never seem to result in any orders, and are good for EP only so far. You're not missing much not having them yet.
@Bren14: That ladybug, thanks for it.
Well, I'll wait and see what this Island has in store.
Hoping for a Feather Collector...

my parrot will be jealous, she want the feather collector badly..:o
everytime I go to isalnd, she start singing :where is the feather collector
she become so nosiy that I put her in barn to stay with the elephant,
I already stock up some peanut butter, I decide to keep my hay for the little sleepy
sloth:D
Elephants? peanut butter? Oh my, that all sounds very exotic :D I have 1200 airmiles to go before I even get there.
I found that the first few levels were pretty challenging on the island, and agree that it does become more fun once you get to longer growing crops and those very cute animals! The trees on bahamarama are also very pretty.
The main thing I'm finding on the island is that, after you get over the novelty of monkeys and sloths, it gets a bit dull. I'm at island level 15 now and it takes a very long time to level up, plus, apart from the Party in Paradise quest, there is really nothing to do with your crops. Like Bren, I just use mine to fill orders as there is little demand on the market for your goods.
I'm now at the point where I often don't bother to plant crops there as it became a bit of a hassle to harvest when I was short on time. I mostly just fly over once or twice a day to harest trees and animals. I'd love to be more involved with my island but until more demand for island produce is built into the game it seems a bit pointless.
Still, I'd say it's worth getting there when you can as it is fun to have a bit of a change, and let's hope some new island focussed events or quests are intoduced soon to make it more interesting!

I'm Level 51 and at 2600/4000 air miles til Bahamarama. Despite the horror stories I hear about the island, I'm still excited to go. Frankly, I need a new place to stretch my legs and grow new crops. I really am curious to see what it's like!
Yes I had it rough at the start making PP's. Till silly me went to the farmer's market to do jobs(I wouldnt use it to level).Which help a bunch. I am haveing a hard time saving crops from house orders. My other account isnt.As I learned a hard leason.. When you level up a few there. And your farm house orders gets higher in PP's Save them and delete the rest.Or save to delete later.
I am on here alot and I have yet to catch up on them orders and to stock up.But made alot of feed with grapes(maybe thats what set me..lol).Anyway I am slowly catching back up now that rain is out. Also alot of wasted crops as weeds took over.So be carefull.I cant stress that enough.. and even I know it, but to get on to weeds...lol Luckly I am higher with a longer crop.. But it isnt long enough for me.
I must say it is different. Its a different look for sure..Very very small space to plant. What they need to do is add another farm like Barhamarma.Like was mentioned somewhere, click the water and go there for like a second farm or what not(Sea World).
oh..sea world:eek:, Jazac really amazing idea
maybe next is a outer space garden/Farm!
the little alien help us to build it:p

I couldn't grow enough to fill all the farm orders on Bahamarama. I finally quit -- I have over 70,000 palm pennies anyway, so I guess I'm ok. I'll probably fill some orders after I stock up my supply of crops.
Something else people haven't mentioned -- making animal food on the island takes a lot longer!
I agree with everyone else -- it was exciting at first, and a nice change, but still not enough to do there, and not enough space.

how do you change the coins to cc verses shell coins when selling products from baharama?
