Does anyone have a good idea of how to keep track of who they send gifts to? I lose any paper I write it down on, but just started to send an email message to myself in Farmerama putting down the date and who I sent it to. It was hard enough to keep track of 12, but am glad to have more neighbors.

Helpful ideas would be appreciated.

A sent/recived time+date atribute at each neighbour would solve the problem.

Moving this thread to Farm Talk as it fits better there.

I am using paper, about to make excel spreadsheet tho, short term memory is failing me with loss of sleep for halloween thingy.

Quick check for sent, received. I am always backlogged tho, silly people keep sending me stuff!:p

I keep an excel file. But to be fair to my neighbors, I send a gift when I see that they have leveled up. Then, I congratulate them. They get a gift and I get the points.

I use Notepad on the computer. I list each neighbors name and put an x by their name after I send a gift. I just work down the list.

I don't keep track per se of gifts sent/received. I send gifts to those online and a gift when they level up. This way I am sending gifts to neighbors that are playing regularly.

I kept track of the order in which I received my neighbors on paper. I give out gifts in that same order. I just mark where I left off each day, and start there the next.

I have a notebook I keep by the computer that I use to keep track of Farmerama facts. (Like how long crops and animals grow with water) ;)

About every month I start a new page to track who I give gifts to and who sent me gifts. I draw a line to divide the page in two. On the left I write the dates that I send a gift. On the right, I write the name and level of my neighbor and the dates they send me a gift. I just go down the page each night (around 6pm EST) when gifts refresh and send out gifts to the next person. By the end of the month I'm very happy to write out a new sheet as my neighbors are all out of order due to leveling at different rates lol!

By the way, I lose things easily too... I find a notebook is a lot harder to lose than a loose piece of paper

Graph paper... I have more than 1 farm so each farm has all my neighbors listed and when I send them a gift I mark it off next to their name ( you know, those little vertical lines in groups of four and then the 5th line goes across ) then go on to the next one. When the paper fills up I start a new one. Very primitive :o

I have 2 farms. I keep a note pad file and every day update the last person to whom I send gifts. Really useful.

I keep an excel file.
Originally I sent out on rotation to all my neighbours.
But as I started keeping a record of gifts received on the same spreadsheet I saw that some were mega-givers and some gave nothing at all.

So now I rotate among the givers and might just occasionally send one to the others.
This way my good neighbours are rewarded and we engender a kind of neighbourly sense of goodwill in our neighbourhood.

I also send a welcome banner to new neighbours and use the flight banner for special holiday messages to especially good neighbours.

On the excel file I put a 1 in by the neighbour's name and then get the spreadsheet to add up the number of gifts I receive - that way I can see if someone is being particularly neighbourly!
