View Full Version : my farm where do i go from here
I'm hoping to get some good feedback on this one. Please look at my farm and tell me how I should best handle this. I want to add another goat pen and turkey pen to have 2 of every animal. I also now have to build my first sheep pen. This means I'm going to have to give up some land. What do you think is the best way to handle? Should I have 2 of every animal pen?

HIya Venger, when planning your farm you should decide (for the moment untilt he expansion update) if you want to do the restuarant quest or if you want to do the Pettingzoo/noah's ark quest. Basicaly 2 of evey animal will prevent you from doing any of these quests. 2 of every animal is not enough for the petting zoo/Noahs ark (right now I have to have 26 sheeps pens for Noahs Ark quest) and will keep you from adding enough animal pens in the future for these quests. 2 of every animals will also eat up your crop space thus causing you to not have enough space for the restaurant quests.
Well ive been doing ok as I stand now with the restaurant challenges so I may hold off until I'm done with them. I don't know about the noahs ark thing. I keep getting trophies which I don't really use cause they take up farm space.
Hi ya Venger!
A few things to consider:
1. How much crop space do you really need? And, that would depend on which quests you'll be doing and how much you have already stored in your barn. With the double EP today, I'm sowing my seeds & watching my crops grow - adding more to my moderately full barn.
2. Farm Society Quests: As Ladybug_Farmer said, space becomes an issue for several quests. I'm putting off some quests 'til I stuff my barn full with plenty of crops. Then, I'll remove plots (and perhaps pens of lower priced animals) to make room for new pens.
3. Take a look at the prices in the market to help you decide, too.
4. Space organization: you've filled nearly every nook & cranny! ;) You could make room for one more pen: move 2 or 3 trees behind the rabbits hutch, slide a lower right corner tree(s) to the left & replace the extra water tank with a tree.
BTW, Noah's Ark rewards are XXL upgrades (not XL, tnx Ladybug_Farmer). Good luck, and Happy Farming!

Thanks...i know what you are saying about getting rid of plots for pens but it makes me cringe to think that if I remove a pen i have to buy another which can be pretty expensive. ill get rid of the extra tank. i wish when we removed pens we didn't lose them completely.
I stayed with 30 full acres all the way up to lvl 7 - filled the rest with animal pens won from the petting zoo only up to I think goats, and finished out with trees. Have completed the restaurant task - but just now working on completing petting zoo and barely into noah's ark. have done a few of the country fair and farming contest but not hurrying. This way I've had plenty of cc's and room to change. My advice - don't be in a hurry to complete all the tasks at once - I promise you that you have plenty of time - build up your crops, feed, and animals in your barn first, as you level up things get more expensive but they also give you more. Then you're in a better position to delete and add those animals that now won't look so expensive. Just my opinion tho. :)
