Drift City league - the rules
The most important thing:It's a 4vs4 ->V7<- league! Everyone can participate on this league. With your application you accept the rules for your whole team. Do not forget, the usual Drift City rules are valid here, too. http://en.board.bigpoint.com/driftcity/showthread.php?t=153212 http://en.board.bigpoint.com/darkorbit/announcement.php?f=53 The deadline for the sign up is 2010-01-31 11:59 PM GMT +1. You can sign up only via E-Mail to the following address: event_driftcity@bigpoint.com *Sign up Season 2 open! Teams You can only sign-up a complete team that consists of a maximum of 10 players. It is no problem to swap drivers between each race. What do I need for the sign-up? A complete registration contains your team name, the team members, a team leader and his standby. Additionally we need the email address of team leader and and his standby. Think twice before joining a team, because you can not change teams normally once the season has started. During the season there will be a one time opportunity to switch or rejoin a league team. The date will be announced during the season and will most likely be available in the middle of the season. You can only have a maximum of 10 players in total. If you have not been in any team yet, you can join anytime (if there is a free slot). Every substitution in the team needs to be reported to the admins. You can add up to 10 new team members per season. Only the team leader or his standby are able to act official for their team. They are responsible for the organisation of the team. At least the team leader or his standby has to be available on a matchday in IRC ( Quakenet #driftcity ), both for the opponent and the admins. We recommend that at least one of those two speak English to guarantee the communication with international teams! Cheating & Insulting Keep in mind that the usual Drift City rules are valid here, too. If you are cheating or insulting other players, you will be punish accordingly to our rules. Race details & IRC You have to use your ingame nickname on IRC, so that admins and opponents can easily identify yourself. All team leaders have to be on IRC 30 minutes before the match starts. The battle zone room must be named after the match e.g. "Team 1 vs. Team 2". Setup the password for the room on IRC as well. The race can only start with two full teams. You can not start 3vs4 or 3vs3 and so on. The maximum delay is 5 minutes. The relevant time is the time on www.uhrzeit.org. The following room settings are obligate:
Disconnect rules: If a player drops while racing, the current race will be finished as usual. If he drops while loading, the race will be restarted twice for each team. The third time he drops while loading the race will be driven. Matchday There is one match each week. All information can be found here: http://en.board.bigpoint.com/driftcity/showthread.php?t=153166 In a match two teams race will race against each other in 4vs4 mode. The team with the most victories wins. The track for each week will be publish as well. The first two races will be driven in normal mode and the last two in reverse mode. All players have to make screenshots of the scores. All races in a match must be driven, even if there is already a winner. The result has to be sent, by the team leader ot the winning team via email, to the following address: event_driftcity@bigpoint.com. If no result is reported both teams will get no points. Each team has a total of 3 wildcards to postpone a match to a later date. The new match has to be within the next six days. It is essential to report the new fixed date to the admin team till 11.59pm (GMT +1) on Saturday. If you cannot settle a fixed date, the match will be automatically played on Sunday 8.30pm - GMT+1- (default). The deadline, for drawing a wildcard, is thirty minutes before the race starts. Please contact the admins on IRC for permission to postpone a match. All matches for each matchday will be drawn by lot on Monday and will be published, together with the give race track, on the board. The official matchday is Wednesday. All games must be played at 8.30 PM GMT+1. There is the possibility to postpone the race to any time within 8:00pm gmt+1 to 9:00pm gmt+1 on that matchday. However your opponent and the league administration have to agree on the scheduled date on IRC! Please contact your opponent prior the matchday! The team leader and his standby are resposible for organisation and realisation of the match. That means in detail:
Season A full season consists of a twelve week long league and a final tournament. There will be one or two matchdays each week. There is a possiblity for double matchdays (two matches per week) later during the league. After the league follows the final tournament to determine the season winner. The best eight teams are qualified for the finals. The finals will be a double-elimination tournament (more details will follow before the end of the league). You can use all V7 cars or cars upgraded to V7. You are more then welcome to use all the tuning possiblities available in the game. Ranking The ranking will be refreshed after each matchday and will always be available on the board. A match win will be rewarded with three points, a draw with one point and a defeat will be zero points. The final ladder position will be determined in the following way: 1.) total points 2.) win/lose ratio 3.) head to head record 4.) held a play-off to determine the winner The 8 best teams of the league will qualifiy for the final tournament.
