No. The sign-up is available for 5-6 days on the forums and will also be announced in the game every hour. You can only sign-up in the given timeframe. Do I have to be online when the tournament starts? Yes of course! You should be available 10 to 15 minutes prior. What happens if I am too late? Our moderators keep rooms open for a maximum of 5 minutes over schedule. If you cannot make it in time we are sorry and you are disqualified. There are no exceptions to this rules. Sorry. What to do when I need to AFK for a bit? No problem, but keep in mind that there is a total of 5 minutes of wait time. Also let your group and the moderator know on Normal chat, or else we start the race without you. How can I enter my tournament room? In this area you will find a list of all participants and assigned rooms. If your roomname for example is "group2" then you should join room "group2" in the Real Match Arena. Tournament rooms are blue colored and always have a password. The password will be send to you prior the race either by F1 message or via whisper. Keep an eye on the chat and also make sure your ALL chat is active. Wait, I did not receive any password? The only case this happens is if you typed in your name incorrectly on the sign-up. Please make sure you always sign-up with your valid playername. Contact moderators on ALL chat or on IRC to get the password. Do not spam, we can read. Do I have to behave on normal chat during the tournament? Yes of course! Our regular chat rules apply here as well, moderators keep on eye on the chat. You can get warned, kicked and even chatbanned or dismissed from the tournament if you show inacceptable behaviour in the chat or towards other players. Spamming is also not tolerated even if you are in the final! Please behave! How do I know if I advance or lose in the tournament? In each pre-round the top 4 of a maximum of 8-12 players advance into the next round. If you are among those 4 players, then congrats and good luck on your next challenge. If you are not among those four players we are sorry and wish you best luck on the next tournament. On the semi finales the four players with the highest scores advance into the final. Sometimes there are special rules that apply and more or less players advance into the next round. This will always be announced by the moderator. My race is over, can I leave the room? If 4 racers made it into the finish line in time then yes, you can leave the room. If for example only 3 made it in time into the finish, then those 5-9 without a time will rerace the same map for the 4th winning spot. If you are among those 5-9 racers please stay in the room and wait for further instructions. Could there be any problems that can occur during the tournament that affects me as a driver? Yes, it is possible that due to a programm error or crash a moderator could loose control of a room. If this happens it is usually announced on ALL chat. Please try to leave the room with ESC -> "character select" or if this does not work close the program with ALT+F4 and restart and relogin. Moderators will wait for another 5 minutes for you to rejoin the room. What is the general timeframe for the tournament? Well, the three pre-rounds take up 15-30 minutes each, dependent on the number of groups. Semi finals take 15-20 minutes each. There can be delays due to reraces or technical problems. Also the vote between semi finals and finales takes up another 20 minutes. In total the tournament lasts for about 150-180 minutes at least. How can I bet on a player? First you should spectate the semi finales to get a feeling for the racers and their racing skills. After the races moderators will announce the betting on the forums and a thread will be available on the General board area. Please make sure to read the rules in that thread. When and how can I bet? This will be announce in the ALL chat during the tournament. Your bet can be placed on this forum. How do I get my reward? Moderators will contact you after the races and ask for your UserID, this number can be found on www.driftcity.de once you are logged in on the left side in an extra frame. If you are offline after the tournament please check F1 messages to reply to the moderator with your UserID. I do not participate on the tournament but I do have general gameplay questions that got answered very late or not at all? Please keep in mind that the whole tournament takes a lot of effort and organisiation to run properly and as smooth as possible. We do not have the manpower to answer all regular gameplay questions during the tournament. Please understand this and be patient. Please restate your questions once the tournament is over and moderators will be happy to assist you. My game closes or crashes when I try to enter the room? There is a rare bug that can occur at the moment. All you need to do is open up a room by yourself and then leave the room and enter your tournament room. This will prevent the bug from that moment on. We are sorry about that. Last edited by Vaxx : 18.01.2010 at 13:45. |
