Default DragonKnight on Level 25

I've been playing Drakensang Online since December, and my Dragonknight character is already on Level 25. I must say I'm really enjoying the game quite a lot. For a browser game, it's amazing. I don't want to post on another section of the board, so I will write here what I like and not like in the game in one post.

WHAT I LIKE

I like that it's free, basically. I find the limitations to the free gamer rather reasonable. I can play it just fine. even though stocking up on things take longer then if I would actually buy stuff.

The game responds very well to controls. My connection is 5mbps, which is not that fast compared to world speeds I'm sure, but it plays well at my connection.

It was easy to learn even though I knew nothing of how to play the game when I started. At first I was puzzled what "andermants" were supposed to be until I realized it was just another form of currency.

The art is amazingly beautiful. The dark areas evoke depression and oppression while the bright areas (specially Torstrond) evoke beauty and freedom (inspite of the killer creatures in it).

WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE

There's a lot of running in place. The character would suddenly get stuck running in place at random places. No obstructions of any sort. Sometimes I would find my character thrown back several steps for no apparent reason. This can be a bummer when running away from creatures or running towards them.

The stun skill is great, but immediately after I use it, I'm knocked back several steps away from the creature, making me run back, losing at least two seconds before I'm close enough to the creature to strike it. And with the stun lasting only a few seconds, those two seconds are A LOT. I hope you guys fix it so I don't have to be knocked back, or just extend the stun period.

It takes too long to stock up on andermant. They drop from creatures very rarely. Due to this, I hardly buy any health potions at all, relying mostly on the health balls the creatures drop. Sometimes, it becomes frustrating when creatures don't drop health balls at all. Believe me, it happens. And my life drops rather quickly and can't recover in time. Which brings me to health potions.

It's inconvenient to have a one minute period before you can drink health potion again. When health balls don't drop, it's tough to fight the bigger bosses. I can save myself once with a health potion, but it them it takes another minute for me to be able to drink another. And a lot can happen in a minute. A lot of dying mostly. Even if I run away to recover, I run into areas where creatures have respawned and now I'm overwhelmed by a multitude of creatures. And I die again.

At least when I die, my experience doesn't get reduced or I lose my items. That's a great thing. I hope you don't change it.

I wish the Dragonknight had more skills to learn. After my character has learned the Mighty Wild Swing... there's nothing to learn anymore. And I was barely passed 1/4 of the game. More skills, like charging like what the Soulless Norsemen do. Like being able to do something to strike creatures from afar. Perhaps I can jump or I can throw things or something.

That's it for now, I guess.

Agree on mostly everything, especially the health potion cooldown and the disappointing lack of dragonknight skills.

Luckily this is still a very young game and there is hopefully tonnes of content being released this year which should deal with these problems

In case you have not seen it, here is a note from the developers on what they are working on and what is coming soon.
