Default Release R065

With Release R065 we have made numerious improvements to stability and efficiency aimed towards reducing lag

Technical changes to reduces lag and login problems within UDP packages and MTU sizes
  • The maximal UDP-package size has been reduced in order to counteract login- or lag-problems caused by unstandardized MTU-sizes. Some routers or ISPs might be using such an unstandardized (reduced) MTU-size or might be handling the splitting and merging of data packages deficiently. Using a reduced UDP-package-size it is more probable that the packages will not have to be split. This should help users that encounter unusual login- /map-change problems or might not even get onto a map or encounter “laggy” gameplay because many packages will be scrapped (these problems have many other causes, as well!)

Java 6 and java 7 problem solving changes for IE9
  • When using Internet Explorer 9 there’s a number of problems that can occur – when using Java6 and when using the newest Java7 version (problems that range from “Applet is not visible” to a browser freeze or even a browser crash). With Java7 those problems had been temporarily solved but now there are new problems appearing. This is why we decided to fix to issues: Using IE, the applet will now be integrated by <object> tag, no longer by using <applet> tag. Additionally, the IE9-Documentmode will be now forced to be activated when using the Internet Explorer. This combination of solutions should fix (to our knowledge) all known issues.
