Cannot Reply in Events Thread

I wanted to reply to the DSO Hunger Games thread and it said I do not have privileges to do that? What is the reason for that?

I am not sure why, I think that the area has recently been made an area where mods can post only. I have moved the thread Here so all can comment, view and make there ideas known.
