Default Emphasis is grouping or die

Yes yes please if you came here just to say "This is a MMO you shouldn't be playing alone blah blah blah" let me cut short your argument by saying right away that MMO's are about massive amount of people playing a game doesn't say anywhere in any definition that MMO's are about players working ALL together.

The big downfall will drakensang is the fact that the mobs are just way too strong in any give map to grind alone, it's just not possible. Finding groups gets harder and harder as you level up and finding groups that are doing the same thing as you do is almost impossible at a certain point.

Worse, this game is filled and I do mean FILLED with none-english speaking people who will just not going to be able to communicate with you what they are doing or you communicated with them what you are doing.

This opinion isn't intended to start flamming wars, it's intended to open the eyes of the devs. It's great to see games that emphasizes team play but when a gain is centrally design on this philosophy, one could say that is a very dangerous game to play as it reduces playability by a lot. Most games out there, people will go out alone, some will be in parties for some event/dungeons but usually quests are done alone with the exception of big quest bosses which may require help from friends or strangers.

But standing around for 10-20-30 minutes asking "Anyone wants to team up for hailstone" is just mind numbing after while, just mind numbing. Considering that half the chat is in either spanish or portugese that does not help either.

NarcAngel -

Welcome to the DSO forums. While I will let the actual players give their own reactions, I must inform you that as a Beta version of the game, we currently do not have huge numbers of people at any one time. It will be much easier forming groups once the game goes live. We are in the testing stage, introducing new concepts and quests, resolving bugs, and making sure they all work well together.

You are obviously playing on one of the "North American Servers." These are NOT English servers. They are open to any one, any language. In addition to the obviously large number of Spanish people in North and South America, DSO is very popular in Brazil, thus the Portuguese. This is the English forum, but none of the servers have any language restrictions.

Grinded to lvl 40 SW in about a week and half solo.
Currently grinding a DW lvl 27 in two days solo.
Wanna b*tch about something that virtually cannot be solo'd, then do it about the parallel worlds....that pisses me off.

The claim that a downfall of Drakensang "is the fact that the mobs are just way too strong in any give map to grind alone" is plain ludicrous if not hysterical.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. With the exception of the three uberbosses, Ive been able to solo my way through everything up to level39

Aaaaand....Im playing what is arguably the most fragile charater class there is. Hes my mage... specd for DPS...not armor. Im playing on the PVP server... he isnt very strong really. Or fast. Until the last few levels, I havent had gear that was not farmable.

Sounds like you could use some soloing tips? More than happy to help. Whats your class, and how to you usually maneuver with mobs?

NarcAngel: Do you play a ranger and do you use scattershot a lot?
This combination is leathal... for YOURSELF. It is not good!

I see a lot of rangers that do not play their character in the right way. The right way is to mark the monsters with green focus lights, then pierce them with precision shots. See this thread:

If you're not a ranger, i haven't said anything!
