View Full Version : Accidentally deleted quest killing Khyla
I accidentally deleted my "killing Khyla" quest from my quest list and now i need your help because I can't find the quest keeper that gave that quest to me (i don't know which one was it) and if you go to your quest list you can look up for to who you have to go after you kill her ( I believe that quest keeper that gives that quest and quest keeper you need to go after you kill her are the same one).
Thank you and sorry for my english.
Khaly (notice spelling) is a very difficult boss. Most people wait until level 40 before attempting, even in groups. By the time you can attack him you no longer need that quest.
Others will eventually get online to provide you with more advice. Be patient. Many of our responders are in the US, where it is now early morning.

You can get the quest again from the High Priest NPC, inside Khalys’ Elisium. I would recommend you get to lv. 30-32 before you go to her on normal mode. You must go with a team and make sure the team has either a couple of good lv. 30+ Dragonknights or a lv. 40 one that wants to help you out. Before you do engage her however, I recommend you watch some videos on Youtube, because there are a few things to consider when you fight her.
She appears on certain locations on the outside circle of her arena, where she starts her attacks. If she has a target at melee range, she uses melee attacks (her weakest attack), if she doesn’t have a target at melee range, she will use her ranged attack, which is almost impossible to avoid and very dangerous. A couple of those can kill you. Then another thing to consider at Khalys, which is her own personal trademark, is that after a short period, she disappears from the outside points and goes back to the center of her arena. While there, she regenerates her health and the arena is filled with her area of effect attack. The only safe places to stand on during this attack are a few small circles, which you will notice, if you watch some videos.
Good luck! And don’t get discouraged, if you die a few times at her. ;)
thanx for the answer Xanatos.
I've been to the High Priest NPC, inside Khalys’ Elisium for like 4 times and nothing. He doesn't even offers me the quest. I don't know... I'll probably try again.
I know that my level (27) isn't enough to kill her and that's not discouraging me, but what is discouraging me is that I simply can't find that quest. :( :( :( :(
Having purposely deleted the quest myself, personally, I would not worry about the quest or getting the quest back. At lvl38, I mainly do Hidden Sanctum runs to level and can make just as much aderment, money, and exp from one run through both levels of the Hidden Sanctum than I can doing the Khyla quest (in other words, what you receive as a reward for doing the Khyla quest is nothing compared to what you will lose trying to complete it, imho). Just some food for thought.
@heatrrr
thanx...i fell better now :)
I thought that there's no point to play anymore without killing Khaly quest...but still I'd like that quest back in my quest listI (I still didn't find it).
Quote _Xanatos_ (for Khaly quest): "You can get the quest again from the High Priest NPC, inside Khalys’ Elisium. ". Also, if u need help with some boss, it would be a good ideea to post u're server/character name.

Thanks for answering the question. I too deleted the quest because it's impossible to play hardcore mode (1 life) at the level the developers are recommending. I.e. death is a guarantee at level 24-28. I've killed her in softcore mode but only at level 32. Alot of the unique bosses, Heredur, Khalys, Arachnia, aren't designed for solo players and aren't designed for their appropriate levels.
Without playing it through once, i.e. a first timer, you're really ambushed by the over-leveled, over-equipped mega bosses, who aren't affected by many of your skills. I lost a hardcore character, who was at the appropriate level for the Crypt of Kings, to Heredur when he launched his groundbreaker skill...did something like 1500 damage. Knowing what I know now, I just skip the unique bosses. Those quests are not necessary to advance in the game, since quests open up to you according to your level.
Guys, please help me!
For a whole week I'm trying to get that quest back on my quest list but still I haven't managed to achieve that mission. I talked to every NPC from Grimmagstone, Wiltwuxshire, Kingshill, Silfmoor, Werian s. I also tried every dungeon (etc.) that surrounds that areas and nothing. None of a NPC offers me a killing Kaly quest.
Maybe it's foolish of me for wanting that quest (lv.28) but still i really want it in my quest list....just in case 'cause you never now... Anyway I'll be calmer if I have it with me and not having it makes me really frustrated.
So, I was thinking...that it must be some sort of the program bug that is giving me so much trouble for finding it. I don't have any other explanation for my problem, I really don't, 'cause I have tried everything what's in my power to gain it.
And of course, I visited high priest inside Khalys’ Elisium... hm...let me think... I have been to him for about 7 or 8 times at least (and not even in a row or on a same day) and...what a big surprise...there was no such thing as surprise for me. No quest.
And now I don't know what else to do besides asking administrators or moderators to help me. Please. I'd really appreciate it. If it's a bug, can it be fixed?

Thanx for your time,

If you are more than five levels over the original quest level it will no longer appear for you.

Off topic sorry.
How do you make a hard core character?

In my experience, in case you level up your quest then you just can't see question mark above quest keepers head but if you talk to him you'll be offered to accept quest and question mark wouldn't be light as usual - it would appear shaded... and still you may accepted it. But in may case - no. I don't even get a question mark.

Only the exclamation point disappears above the quest keeper if you level too far beyond the quest. But if you click on the quest keeper you will see the quest greyed out but you can still pick it up. At level 35 I just went back and picked up the Khalys quest and also "tree of life", a level 24 quest in rootrock.
To get Khaly's back you need to talk to the quest keeper inside Khaly's Alisium. If this is not working then you have an issue for support.
Luck be with,

This also happened to a group of mine. Me and hardcoremode8 were in eternal watch doing a quest called fate of the king, where we kill the mini boss "little girl." we deleted the quest so that we could keep farming little girl for exp, but the quest didnt show up again... do deleted quests just disappear?

I am also Hardcoremode8 and as Coryza mentioned, I deleted a quest called "Fate of the King" so we can farm the monster that pops up when you activate the quest. I went back to the quest keeper at the mine but he didn't have it.
So after thinking and checking it again, I think I have your answer.
Your quest, like mine is a "chain" quest. It starts in an URBAN area but then requires you to complete the quest in phases. Such as....
Segment 1 - You had to talk to the ghost of the high priest in Prison of Soul.
Quest complete
Segment 2 - Ghost Priest tells you to go talk to himself in Liar's Lair.
Quest complete
Segment 3 - Ghost Priest in Liar's Lair tells you to get the staff in the third level (Forgot the name of the level...Elisium something)
Quest Complete
Segment 4 - Ghost Priest on third level tells you to kill Khalys and break the mirror right?
Quest Deleted
Because you deleted the last segment, the entire chain isn't deleted because you already got credit for the former segments. I'm willing to BET the ghost of the high priest in either Liar's Lair or Elisium (3rd level) will give you that quest back.
Just as the Eternal Eye in Eternal Watch will give Hardcoremode8 that last segment of the Fate of The King quest.
In summary, while all quests are started at an URBAN area, their chain requires you to go into a dungeon area to finish the segments. If you cancel a segment, you have to go back to the dungeon area and find that npc that is responsible for that quest segment.
Off topic sorry.
How do you make a hard core character?
OT to answer your question, you simply make and play a character normally but if you die, you don't login to that account anymore and stop playing as if the character is deleted...it's self-coded, not hard-coded.
You should also have a "main" character that is softcore mode just to have fun....and do non-rpg things like die just to warp back to town faster.
