Forgive me if there is already a thread on this (and please direct me to it), but does it not make sense that when you gain skill, you would be able to use simple skills with more efficiency? Just as health increases when you level up, so should concentration (albeit not by so much).
Having 1000 health and still 100 concentration seems like the ranger has not gained skill, but only strength and number of skills. Even an increase of 5 or so per level seems more fitting in the long run, rather than having a master ranger who can only perform 4 precision shots before losing his train of thought just as he did as a beginner.
I understand that you should still need strategy even at high levels, but this just seems a little wrong.

My lead chararacter and another are Rangers. On the face of it I would love this idea. However, at 5 pts per level a level 40 would have 295 con. I feel this would have serious class balance consequnces.

It would make the already overpowered ranger even more overpowered imo.

just won't work. even at 1 per lvl it would mean +40 conc at the end. ranger is already crazy damage, 1 more conc shot is no possible to be added atm.

100 concentration is good balance to me as a ranger player.
The rate of regen looks fine as is.
conserving ur shots and take aim and you'll see that 100 concentration is enough.

I agree that concentration should be increased for the ranger, however the point is well stated that too much would make the ranger class OP.
However, especially with PvE, I have found that one of the biggest banes of being a ranger is the concentration pool being too small. I think that even an increase of 1 every 2 levels would not be so significant as to make the ranger OP, but would help the ranger class in those tough PvE environments.
Also, should the dev's decide to increase the concentration pool but are worried that it would make the ranger too OP, they might want to consider increasing the concentration cost of the upper level skills, especially the net and the hawk which stun and disable the opponent, so as to balance out the strategy of using the Ranger class.
Just my little bit of input.

Rather than increasing the concentration itself....decreasing the cost of cast will make more sense to me.

I see what you all mean. I only play PvE at the moment so class balance doesn't really concern me, but i realise that the later abilities which regenerate concentration solve my problem. Thanks for the input, i've been made aware of my oversights :)

My main character is a level 39 ranger, and I am equally matched with all other classes. Increasing conc. would overpower the ranger just as much as doubling DW health and armor. There are 3 ways of restoring concentration:
1: Sit and wait for a second or two
2: Use Adrenaline (So useful!)
3: [for PvE mostly] Use the Deadly blow to kill a marked target.
Find out which of the methods you like best (I use all 3), then adapt them to your fighting style.
Just as DWs are limited by rage, rangers are supposed to be limited by Concentration. Learn to adapt.

Suggestions:
Since Sw's have abundance of mana potions, rangers could use some concentration potions.
Also, destroying a marked enemy should return a small ammount of concentration to the pool.

Yes that would help alot in pve and not so much in pvp, great idea actually

Interesting, but im not sure i like it. I don't think this is the issue, i think it's the costs... i think that all the skills should be even number skill cost, net 10 dive 20 like it already is, precision shot, this drives me crazy to have to wait 4 SECONDS to use after total drain, which is unacceptable in this game, etc. etc. this would eliminate teh issue of having to wait so long to do ANYTHING after total drain, and make the regen smooth! that way u could use things like net or precision shot in the current system without having to wait the ridiculous 4 seconds in precision shot... which is more than enough to get killed twice over
