Don't picture some lame cowboy rope, but an awesome effect like the paralyzing rush but now you don't move forward yourself but you pull your opponent towards you! The opponent just doesn't have any chance of escaping from your slashing for a couple of seconds. Using essence would paralyze the victim, aswell. Wouldn't that be cool?
You are playing too much Mortal Kombat man... Scorpion is too good for Drakensang. :P

ah, well that depends on how strong it is made. Maybe it should have the same timer as the rush so that you can not rush and lasso after each other. I would like it because some monsters move away from me, so a lasso would be great. And maybe you could save people in distress by lassoing away an enemy. Maybe it would be great for PvP too (i don't play PvP much so i don't know).

ur logic is killing me mate, if they have same CD i can pull u towards me+paralize...
so u dont play pvp? thats why your idea wil make DK total OP machine, maybe play some pvp and you will realize :)
otherwise the idea is very sweet but our DL allready have dash so the pull skill wont fit at all
if devs implement this they will spend tons of time balancing numbers
Plus, imagine the coding behind the skill... if you manage to pull AoE, lets say 5 monsters, they could get stuck in terrain, etc etc... and of course, the overpower of the combos. Definitely no.

I agree, especially about DKs being too OP with it. But still, please keep those ideas coming! :)

i basicly agree having something like that would make DK OP in the extreme lol. mebe if an archer class or rogue class of some sort could put something like that to use but to have both on DK wouldnt be that well.

archer and rogue types of classes used to be whit short life and "stay away from me" skills so pull just doesnt fit.
that pull skill is more likekly for a tank
and tanks used to have tons of life but pretty low dmg and the pull would fit perfectly in a ank class
our DK is NOT a tank, his pure dps that just have tanky outlook imo

It may seem that way in general, but I've seen weawers that have massive dps. For current 2 game characters DK is a tank as he is only class available taking multiple hits from bosses. Now, the question about is it real tank like usual deffinition of tanks in other games? Well I agree its a bit limited, as you still need lucky magic modifiers + gems + upgrades + buff to make it work.
And not to be off topic, I agree some ranged help is needed for a DK, as chasing around backing up monsters is not always fun, especially as +run speed modifiers don't exist, and scream skills last too short to use them on multiple targets ( same with rush attack on spreaded out backing up monsters ). I think ranged type of attack existed in early stages of testing product, but that was either dismissed or put on hold by developers. You can see it here:

IMHO if ranged attack is planned for DK there should be added equvalent skill for SW too
Weavers already have planned 2 extra skills that add to their damage output, and dealing massive damage they will =). On ranged issue they are already set with both things; attacking ( ranged skills ) and escaping ( teleport ).
What they lack and must be further fine tuned, is mana pool. Everything they do is mana related, and sometimes brings all action to a halt, commencing "Benny Hill run." Their armor is weak and insufficient, so their best defense should be punishing offense :cool:.
DK's can attack ( and kill ) without rage or essences ( PvM ), but have to think a way to reach fleeing target. So far, only setting such monsters to retreat into obstacles work, and in that process 0 damage is dealt, and whole lot is recieved in swarmed open places ( Slifmoor as best example ). Some ranged would help; maybe not lasso but weapon throw or something like that...

DKs have 2 new skills i see too
the weapon throw is good i mean better than pull, if added must be balanced well, not between SW and DK but whit the upcoming ranger too
no idea whats those new skills for both of the classes but there can occur tons of work if DK receive a ranged atack whit the balancing stuff and probably wont balance just numbers
Yes it shouldn't be compared to Ranger, off course. Maybe even little damage to slow fleeing monsters, like dizzy effect... who knows? I'm sure devs look for such ideas here, so they can decide to include something similar, or dismiss it as unecessary balance rework.
Great thing that they DO get feedback from here, and more similar suggestions/ideas like OP had are a good thing ;).

It is too OP of a skill. I hope the Devs focus on Rangers and Spellweavers for the next few updates/skill additions and patches because DK is VERY OP as is. The heath/power combination makes it almost unstoppable. Level 40 DK takes down Level 40 Mage/Ranger any day. This idea might be tossed aside for a bit and maybe added after the beta or something along those lines. This game has a long road ahead, and other classes need to be the primary focus before further addition.

while i agree that the dragon knight is powerfull enough. what frustrates me is the fact that even if you reach a target that is runing away, he can still not hit him. because he has to stop to atack, giving the target enugh time to get way again and make him miss.
therefore what i would like to be improved, would be for the DK to actually HIT the target that he catches up with before they run away again.

The DK is powerful yes, in PvE. But in PvP with a match-up of DK vs Ranger/SW with same skill same level, same items, disadvantage goes to DK. DK may have 2 stuns but SW and rangers have greater maneuverability compared to DK and since DK is melee, it proves to be a challenge to win in the situation since both SW and rangers are ranged and use hit and run tactics. You gotta hope that those red essences would do a great job and maybe get you a crit so you can 1-2 hit kill them. PvP is one of my greatest frustration as a DK player, even with decent equips we can still get owned by other classes.

Same here, I agree that DK is powerful for PvE purposes but for PvP even with decent gears, you won't stand a chance against non decent gears Ranger/SW. They can hit and run... mostly all I see is DK running after them all the time.
But I do have an idea for an existing skill tho... See how our Rage Jump effect the ground when we landed. I was thinking maybe it need to add the effect of stun. Reason being if the earth ever crushed or vibe like that near you, you would stop to get your balance back before trying to move out. Just an idea... Peace :D
