Many players have been posting issues in Support tickets and Forums about others taking advantage of the Protective Seal system in order to have 'first shot' advantage against other boats resulting in a disproportionate amount of victories in battle and also an unfair gain in Battle Points.
This was also noticed in the chat system by Chat Moderators and Administrators.
In order to make battles once again fair for those with and without seals BigPoint has reviewed these concerns voiced by the players from the Forums, Chat and Ticket System. As a result of concerns voiced by players and in order to restore the fairness desired by them there will now be no more Battle Points awarded to boats possessing Protective Seals.
This was introduced in the patch implemented on December 16th, 2011.
There are players possessing Protective Seals that purchased a Battle Point Doubler that went on sale the next day. Those players may either choose to level up to 16, thus losing the Protective Seal and be eligible to receive Battle Points or submit a support ticket requesting a Helix refund for the cost of the Battle Point Doubler.
