First Deepolis Community Event

Time to hunt down the team: The first-ever community event at Deepolis

Greetings Admirals,

Variety is the spice of life at Deepolis: And since we know just how hard our wonderful community works to try to keep things interesting under the sea, we’ve decided to hold our first-ever community event on Saturday, November 7, 2009 between 4:00pm and 6:00pm to heat things up a bit.

The event will be held on the Global Europe 1 server by the people who provide you with help in the forums and answer your questions on a day-to-day basis: international board administrators. As you know, it’s not words that count on the battlefield, but rather actions. That’s why you’re going to have the chance to send your administrators to the bottom of Davy Jones’ locker; after all, things at Deepolis are twice as nice when you have the opportunity to blow your mod team to smithereens.

Get ready for the following to happen on November 7, 2009:

The board administrator team will show up at the Serendo station at 4:00pm. To make it easier for you to recognize them, all their names with begin with the tag “Mod”. They’ll also be sporting an extra special design similar to that of the Naskaar, but which isn’t available in the game.

How things will proceed from there is yet to be determined, but there is one thing for sure, and that just happens to be your mission: Hunt down the team and sink all their subs! For every mod ship destroyed, you’ll be showered with awesome rewards; just remember that every sub will only appear on the map once.

What can you win?

A whole bunch of Helix and Premium accounts, that's what. Since we’re basing this competition on shooting down subs, it makes sense that the prizes will only be rewarded to the players who successfully shoot down our subs. The list of winners will be published after the event.

Record the event for posterity and reap in more rewards!

Create a video of the event, upload it at YouTube and send us the video links using the contact form (Support link on the homepage).
The five best videos will be richly rewarded on Tuesday November 10, 2009, and the winning videos will also be published in the forum!

Yeah, actually I am really annoyed at the closed mindedness of Deepolis.
We play server 2,
We PAY on server 2,
We have our cool loaded subs on Server 2,
And deepolis put an event on Server 1 ONLY.. Whoopie YAY! So freaking exited that I get to take part! Oh I DONT unless i want to be reduced to a n00b!

BAD WORK DEEPOLIS! EQUAL RIGHTS TO ALL PLAYERS OF ALL SERVERS!!!

What have I been paying for? ... So that others on the other server can run away with the best stuff?

As a paying customer on server 2 I would also like to have the opportunity to take part on this event. As a solution I suggest you divide the mods in 2 groups, other half comes to server 2.

You guys are right, server 2 should have its fair share. But I don't think the solution is to have half the mods go to server 2. A better solution would be to schedule a separate event on server 2 at another date and time. This way we all get the full effect.

Possibly the team wants to wait until 2 days before that event to announce it to you guys. Giving you more notice than that may be deemed unfair, as that's all we got

Excellent idea and I do agree all servers should have a go at the mods. I would like a breakdown on the time for time zones. Is is 4-6 PM eastern standard, Central standard, Pacific standard or German time ?

Since the servers are European, I would assume the time zone they are based on would be in Europe, so likely to be CET (Central European Time, or GMT +1)

For easiest reference, just check the timestamp in your logs sometime while you are active to see what time it currently is on the server.
