chat/java problems

hello i was hoping some fellow players could help me out. I play (sadly) on a mac right now, and my chat worked one day then not the next, I know apple has their own java updates and as far far as i can see java is updated yet no matter what I can not get chat to work, and yes i have a support ticket in and we both thought we could get answers here as well as support.

Hello,

Have you tried clearing your temp internet cache? I am not really up to speed as far as macs go, maybe try running CCleaner if it is avail for Macs.

There is nothing like that for macs, i do clear all cache, so on so forth from browsers along with clearing data for flash player as well. All i have is the disk utility which is similar to disk defrag, still dosn't work. i will keep trying
