Default US Server Down

We cannot log into our accounts... there are 4 of us (that we know of) that cannot login... so it is most likely is server-wide.

There is currently a server issue that is keeping players from being able to access their accounts on the US side of things.

I assure you, Big point is aware and is working on the issue.

Thank You

T-Bar,
This issue did not just affect deepolis, it affected several of Bigpoints games. sometimes computer servers have tech problems. But then I am sure that you understand how tech issues affect servers, the internet etc.
We members of the Moderating team understand the players frustrations with no new updates to the game. We are not only Mods, we are players also, we have the same frustrations as you. we would love to see the updates happen sooner rather than later.
But I dont think the constant complaining, without offering some solutions is going to help anyone.
I know that there are many players here that are not only good with computers, but can program also. you may be one of those people. Bigpoint has asked all the players in the past, that if they have programing backgrounds/training to apply to be a game programer.

May i suggest if you can be part of the solution rather than part of the problem, then by all means we all would be grateful to have new programing blood working on the game.

Thank You.
DryDocked.

I think you will find via search that I do not constantly "complain". I am hard on BP as they are a professional operation/organization and certain 'glitch's and bugs' are inexcusable given how long they have been going on, in addition how long do we have to hear: " We are aware of the situations and are working to resolve the problem". ( And please stop saying 'glitches' when referring to 'bugs' and bad coding. Glitches only happen now and then, annoyances. Bugs and bad coding is something that should be fixed.. period.

Yes, I am a programmer.
Yes, I have plenty of Tech background.
Yes, I am familiar with BP as a gaming organization as well as Microsoft, IBGames and several other gaming companies and organizations.
I am part of the solution, I am not the problem. Solutions are useless when they land on deaf ears.

I tell people "it is what it is" (meaning current game play of Deepolis), accept it.. or move on
. I play other games and don't spend the time or money I used to on Deepolis.. because of many factors, most of those factors have to do with how the game plays today.. compared to how it played when I fell in love with it. The game was my 'baby' until it grew to the point of a child gone bad.

Its all about money. If Deepolis was their main money maker .. we might see some progress etc, but its not so it does not get the attention. Do you really think it would take 2 years to have a "New Map" ?? Why would a company make a post, make a promise, show so much artwork etc.. if in fact that "update" was not in the works? It was, and it was going to happen ... but.. It was abandoned .. put on the back burner because Deepolis is not the big money maker and its too costly to fix it all where we can have new code put into place.

I say.. just be honest about the state of Deepolis. BP is not hurting for programmers at all, and if they really needed programmers its a simply matter of hiring them. Currently Deepolis players would rather see a 'green new guy' as a programmer with all their beginner errors... than no progress at all Do you not think plenty of players also have commercial programming experience that have offered to help? ... and basically for free I might add.

Somethings are 'confidential' and just can't be stated here, so you drop by my Team Speak sometime, and I'll give you a real education. I am in the know.

The problem is Deepolis/BP .. not the players, or any given player. BP needs to be part of the solution and not part of the problem

Respectfully, my opinions submitted

/Tbar

PS: I am not anti Big Point. I would criticize any company who didn't fix things and keep their players "happy". Please note I still play the game even today.. just not as often and I don't spend the bucks. Give me a great Deepolis .. and I will shoot my guns more often

I am closing this thread from hijacking.

A simple notification of a server being down does not lead to a conversation about who is in the know and who is not.

Thank You for your time.
