This is by far the worst bug in DO. You're being chased by a swarm of enemies, your client shows you have reached a portal, you hit jump, and sit back in relief, only to be told "Jump not possible. You are not in the vicinity of a jump gate."

Because you are lagging and you are further away from the portal than being shown on the screen, optimize your flash player.

As a suggestion when being chased to a portal click on the mini map on the area past the portal you are running to, then as you approach the portal you can start repeatedly click the protal tab at the bottom of you screen which will enable you to jump at the earliest point. Continue this until you have seen the gate activate.
