This isin't a sick event people! It's just been worded in a really bad way! This happened 100 years ago and this is Dark Orbit's way to spread the message of it! Noone says anything about the St Patrick's Day Green Boxes or the Christmas Gift boxes, so why now? Yes, it is in bad taste but it isin't an insult to the many who died on that terrible day!

I agree with PREDATOR. This event is to make people aware of what happened 100 years ago.
I personally think its great and for those who are saying BP are just trying to make money out of it i think its wrong. Sure they will be probably be replacing those 3 ships to the newones we've seen in the videos,(and sure it will probably cost uridium, but updates like this are something that its constantly happening so its normal, if not implemented now it would just be another day) but remember they will also be giving 4 times reward for killing kristallants so i don't think this event is aimed at making people spend but its rather giving players easy ways to make uri and creds ( Come on 4 times at much that is 512 uri for BK ).

I think some people may be getting a little over sensitive about this. I am sure I had family members rowing the boat but I am just fine with it.
I am kinda glad DO it at least trying to be creative on the events. I think this is just their way of remembering/commemorating the past. Look at Google doodles. They do it all the time, albeit sans spaceships..

Either way I am passionately apathetic!

I can't help but feel that some of the complainers here are only jumping on the bandwagon of others just to stir controversy and as an excuse to have a dig at DarkOrbit.
Nowhere in the announcement is the word 'celebration'
This remembrance event is no different to the thousands of others being held across the globe.

The Titanic memorial cruise for example, should we condemn those aboard for having a good time at the expense of the victims 100 years ago?

Does playing Call of Duty and Battlefield make me sick because I'm replaying historical events that transpired in WW2?

I agree with you that it is not intended as an insult. But you can't compare it to St. Pats or Xmas boxes. Those are holidays. The Titanic event was a terrible disaster. You don't see them declaring a remembrance of the holocaust or 9/11 because it would be inconsiderate, in poor taste, etc. Maybe their next remembrance will be on Pearl Harbor day...they could really get some mileage from "destroyed ship" references right? This was at best ill-conceived.

putting shipwrecks into the game and giving "gifts/presents" to players inside them. putting "mines" in game in shape of "icebergs".

now; collecting presents from the shipwrecks which are represantatives of titanic, the most clever! thing that BP can find in order to the rememberance of the disaster, is not a thing to enjoy? is no kind of a celebration?

putting mines in shape of icebergs which caused rms titanic sank and caused the dead of over 1500 people is not an event of fun in this game?

do feel ok if BP put mines in game in shape of crashed planes at 9/11? don't you feel insulted if BP puts debris shaped "gifts" at 9/11? and would you still say that the idea is to remember what happened?

i think this is a great event and looking forward to it and all your people complaining of the deaths what happened in titanic yes that is truly sad but this is in remembrance of the incident also darkorbit is nto earning anything out of this =D they are giving stuff away, so means more good news for free pleyers :L isnt a money making update so im happy
