Default Recruiting question

Hello,

I was just wondering how "Pushing" works in regards to the recruitment system

I have a few little brothers and i was thinking of recruiting them to work towards the 1 month free prem, but i am scared because we all will play on the same interent connection, you may think that im making new accounts and just leveling them by myself.

So i was just wondering how this works. If i recruit my brothers will it be pushing? or do you have some sort of way to figure it out.

Thanks

It isn't pushing , many families play DO and they will all use the same connection , it is the same as getting people to play facebbok games , it makes no difference if they are all in the same family and ip location .

the only problem will occur if you are the one playing the accounts etc , but saying that , DO could never tell if it was or it wasn't you . just by the fact that a couple off brothers started playing .

would say if sudenly you had 15 siblings all playing from the same ip location , it might flag up , but a reasonable family group/number wouldn't be an issue .

remember you need new e-mails for each person .

Thank you,

Only one of my brothers doesnt have an email, so i'll sign him up now and then recruit all of them

and just to clarify, i am allowed to help them level up to level 7? If i helped them with some quests or something? is that ok

Most the early quests are ore picking up or struener killing , if they do teh early achievement quests , they should be able to manage on their own .

but there is no difference tto you helping them complete a quest if your ship is more powerful , then it would be if i helped them . or if you were all in the same clan and were helping each other .

Hi,

I can not endorse what rooster says as this is technically pushing - using one account to help another on the same ip.

But I can confirm that rooster is right about siblings. I don't think that a house will have 15 siblings, all of the right age and all wanting to play Darkorbit. If there were only a couple... then this should be fine.

Any further questions before I close?

um, then yes

So it would be pushing if i help my brothers level up to level 7? or is it pushing if i help the people i invite to get to level 7?

Without wishing to sound like i am argueing with a mod , what you are doing has never been classed as pushing , all it is, is aidding a lower ranked player to achieve quests , it makes no difference whether you are on the same ip or not ,

It is b as i said no different to myself helping a lower ranked clan mate to achieve a quest , just because player a and player b share an internet connection does not make it pushing , never has and never will .

so in this instance the MOD is incorrect in their answer . This has been answered multiple times in the past by SMODs and Game Admins to the same effect as my answer .

If it was technically pushing because off players using the same ip address to play , i would guess all teh brothers /sisters and parents who play thios as a faimily group should all be banned from the game ,

as this has never happenned . i would say you are all ok , what is pushing is if you are controlling the two ships , and gainning an advantage from that .

Hi,

If previous smods/ Ga's have discussed it then rooster is right in what he says. I geuss this can be classified as helping another player.

Having one player help a more inexperienced player or the other way around is accepted in the game.

Having one player be shot down multiple times by another player is pushing.

Hope this clarifies it somewhat
