hey dude,

in the moment im learning the program
but im having trouble saving my files in 2.5

is it not possible to save Blend. files to JPG, PNG or ani files?.
been looking on the internet, but haven't found the answer

each time i go into "Save file as" enter the name and remove "Blend." to png.
it turns back to Blend. hmm so im wondering if you could help me out.

.blend files have nothing to do with .png .jpg or any sort of image file, you cannot save a 3D mesh as a 2D image, you have to render* the image first then save the rendered image of the 3D object. To render the image, press f12 with your mouse in the 3D window, Blender will create a picture of your 3D object from the point of view of the camera, then when the rendering is complete, press f3 to save your image. I hope this helps.

* I'm not talking about removing the background here, like the word 'render' is used on these forums, render here means to create the image.
