hay little tech help please

sup guys. first id like to say this game looks really bloody good lol.

ok the problem is i was wondering is there a way for me to be able to change the port that the game logs onto because im currently trying to play in work (yer i no lol payed to play sounds good eh ) but i get onto the main screen fine and can pick missions ships upgrades and look at ores and stuff but when it comes to actually exploring using the ship the maps all load but when i press start it just keeps saying connecting to server now i understand that this may have something to do with the firewall ect at work but ive found that i can play a game called runescape (not advertising just example) which also requires for you to log onto an external server to use the game and it works fine and downloads all the updates needed. i was just wondering if its possible to change the log ports or something so that i can play in work because i work too many hours for me to play seriously in my spare time and i really think that this game looks really cool! ive also tried logging onto different servers i was on the american server originally now ive moved onto the english one and still no luck, any help guys?!?!?

If you're at work they probably blocked external connections like this, but try playing through a proxy site
enter the proxy site, then through the proxy go to the game and try to play, that should do it

Those are the ports DO uses, but if you're at work I doubt you'd be able to change firewall settings, etc anyway.

I've had the same problem connecting to the game at my place of employment. What I've noticed is that the only time it blocks the port is when I have the main DO window open for a little bit.

Try closing all your browser windows, open up DO and log in, then immediately hit the start button and see if you can connect.

Simple solutions:

• Modify your ethics to actually (shudder) Work when you're at Work.
• Play during play time on your dime.
• Get your employer to change their rules and network settings to allow playing at Work.
