Default Galaxy Gates probabilities list

Something's not quite right with that, because I'm getting far more Xenomit than gate parts, and log disks drops out three of four times more that repair credits.

And how many times have you spun the gg , remember the percentages can be over millions off spins , not just a few hundred .

Well, i wouldn't know about how much i've spun it, but as for all the time as i'm playing Darkorbit, i've had about 7 repair credits, and i currently have 27 log disks. That's just for comparison. (I'm not really sure about how much repair credits I've had, but I'm sure that I've had far less repair credits than log disks!)

Unless you can provide a spread sheet with a massive amount of spin results , that would disprove a written probabilties programme , i would say you are on to a loser . We will often feel that we are not getting the amount off things that we should , but we do in teh end get the correct amount .

Actually not really if you base those percentages off millions of spins say 1 million spins your ratio isnt going to change if you bring it down to say 100 or 1,000 spins just cause you bring down the ratio into less quantities they arent going to change it just changes how many times you get, were in the millions spins you couldve gotten 67% of one million is 670,000 times ammo (not 670,000 units of ammo) in the 1,000 spins you only get 680 times ammo (not 680 units of ammo)and 12 times xenomit and you also have to remember the percent isnt how much xenomit or parts you get its how many times the pop up will come out for that certain thing so say xenomit comes out 12 times u dont get 1 rock of xenomit you get about 6-15 most of the time so as u can see doesnt matter how many times u spin.

The probabilities are true, as long as you do a statistically significant amount.

100 spins is significant.
20 spins is not

you do not need millions of spins to have the percentages hold true

Greetings Space Pilots,

When it comes to probabilities, unless you log a very large number of spins, there is a perception factor which leads to wrong conclusion almost all the times.

The percentages are for every single spin, so having 100 spins or even 1 million, will not make you get the percentage of every kind of freeby you can have from the galaxy gate materializer. The percentages are just the odds of getting it, but at no point means you will get 13 gates part for every 100 spins you make! It does not work this way!
On a very large number of spins like billions, it 'should' just tend to miror the percentages but nothing absolute if you really are unlucky.

Percentages are right even if you feel otherwise, it does not change the fact they are right.

Sometimes you will feel you are luckier than other because you will get what you need and some other you will feel like cheated because on the contrary you fail over and over and over to get what you want.

Statistics and probabilities are not something easy to understand and most of the people around have not studied it, so if you do not understand it I think you have no other choice but to trust us when we tell you nothing is wrong with the number you get.

I am not closing this as it has been well covered and to prevent more spam to be posted.

Good Day!

Good Day
