Bigboy obsolete?

Justa query to DO really, since the improvements made to the leonov craft, is the bigboy going into the history pages? as i see it, the bigboy is like a slow toad, easy prey for better ships, since the upgraded leonov is a lot quicker, and, in the home maps, just as powerful as the bigboy, if not, then perhaps more. Unless the bigboy has some major improvements, along the lines of the leo improvements, is it not just a sitting duck? is there any point to a bigboy? i won my leonov in trade for less than the cost of a bigboy, so my stance is plain to see, get back, let me know what you think, is it the end of the bigboy?

surely agree on this. Come on its no. 9 ship in ship's tally. it gives out 9k pts to d pilot in ranking, so y not improve it a bit. also goli shld have special features for uber map. like double everything on 4-5.

The lennov is the safest ship to have in the lowers , for one very good reason

it just isn't worth the time and effort to shoot it down for the reward you get for it . without using uri ammo most will escape even from the middle of the map .

some of you guys may say the bb is obsolete.....that may be true but for me the bb was the best thing i ever had , i could (with the config done right) fend off a enemy vengie long enough to make it to the gate and its engines slots 15 of them only the goli has that much and stick all ao3s on there you can take on almost any alien on there the only down side is its speed it would be nice if they atleast boosted it to 290. well thats my suggestion.

The bigboy (or bb) is TOTALLY obsolete. I was constantly getting killed in mine, but then i discovered something, the Nostromo actually has a higher survival rate!After I ditched my bb, i was a nos untill i got my goli. without serious revamping, there is NO point in owning this turtle.

yea i cant seem to see how can anyone complete there bigsby quest if everyone is a leonov wit the power up (which i think personally is a horrible idea especially when u only get 400EP for killing 1 leonov) If leonov gets this power up then other ships, like a bigsby for example, will become ObSoLeET. Then other ships should get power ups which will then gets all messed up. DO should have nvr made that power up

PLEASE - increase the speed of the Big Boy !!

The Big Boy is a great ship - just tooo slowww -
which is a shame - I have one now - all my engine
slots are filled -

2 slots with - G3N-3310 engine generators x5 speed
2 slots with - G3N-7900 engine generators x10 speed
8 slots with - SG3N-A02 shield generators x2k per gen
3 slots with - SG3N-B01 shield generators x4k per gen

So that adds a total of 28k to my shields - which helps
of course - refining and update engine/shield - increases
my shield strength to around 44k.

So - trade off between fast engine generators - or slow
and more shield ?

When I can - I plan on upgrading my shield gens to the
SG3N-B01 and try to increase my speed with more of the
G3N-7900s.

As it stands now - I do not see a very noticeable increase
in speed with my current setup.

And so - I too get splashed trying to make it to the NAZ on time...

I agree the bb would be an ok ship if it just had its speed increased, for noobs who dont have elite engines it will give em a chance to actually make it to the gate b4 they pop xD
