Adding the standard movement keys (W for forward, A for turn left, S for backwards, D for turn right) to allow keyboard play instead of point and click only would be nice. I normally am a FPS player (Team Fortress 2, Enemy Territory: Quake Wars, the Battlefield series, Call of Duty 4, etc.), as well as a RPG MMO player (Guild Wars and WoW), and the standard W,A,S,D with Q and E for strafe would be very, very nice. They are used in almost all major games for movement, and just makes for an easier time getting around.

Reason: Clarification of content
yes, but how would it change when you were locked on to a target and already in an "auto strafe" mode? would it turn fast enough to react, but slow enough to be accurate?
Have you guys never played any other game besides a point and click only interface?
The arrow or WASD movement keys allow for faster movement, including when chasing a target. Coupled with a mouse or trackball, this is the industry standard when it comes to gaming movement. I should clarify in most games, A and D rotate the model left or right, not actual movement left or right.
As for how it would act when locked on, movement left and right (A and D or left and right arrow keys) would allow the circular strafing (just like in Guild Wars, you auto-rotate to face your target) with forward and backward movement just moving you closer or farther away from the target.
As for breaking off engagement, Ctrl or reclicking a new target with your mouse/trackball would not change at all from the current configuration.

dark orbit is not industry standard in now way, so dont worry about that one.
DREX,
No, it is more like some older real time strategy (RTS) games or EverQuest, with it's point and click only interface for movement, with some keyoard support thrown in. My point is this: by allowing a keyboard interface for movement, it would make it simpler to pick up with new players whom are already familiar to such movement controls in existing games.
It just makes it more user friendly DREX, and user friendly is best to get more players involved in the game.
