VRU looking to swop to MMO (UK Server)

hello folks,
I'm hoping some one can help me out.
Myself and partner in crime are fed up in VRU, and are looking into swopping companies to MMO, but as it will be costly to us both, (will cost me 6 mill in honour) we need to consider all options, and if we do move we need to know there is a home available for us.

My partner in crime isnt quite that experienced, but is still a lvl 17 coming upto 400 mill exp points.
We play on the UK server, and come as a double feature.
I personally dont use any GSC thingies, mainly as i am a bit nerdy and dont really know what im doing, so understanding and tutoring will be needed.
I personally am looking for a clan that can organise regular hunting events, like x1 raids or battle maps (for which i'm severly lacking in experience) as well as having the freedom to get on with my own thing, whether it be defending homebase or just popping some npcs.
I dont mind paying clan tax, provided its kept to the low end, and I have never asked a clan for a payout.
It wont be an immediate swop, as for myself i have a GG Beta to finnish, and a quest to wrap up, but I hope there are people out there that can give us some options.

Hi BIll . my game name is roost you may have seen me about in vru . the clan i belong to has just swapped for the same reasons that you are looking to .

Clan is ROP (rise of the pheonix )

clan tax is 1% because a few of our members are not yet fe and we are trying to get them that way .

We do hunt although we lost some gd members when we moved from vru as some stayed behind .

the clan has 2 x lvl 18 3 x lvl 17 and 4 or 5 lvl16 the rest being guys from lvl13 to 15 we are often found in bms and or lowers /uppers attacking the enemy companies .

we use xfire as a team speak system as that makes hunting easier , much quicker then typing , and like you I am useless at these things but xfire is by far the easist and for myself causes no lag .

there a lot of good clans in MMO more then i thought loll. we have been made welcome in the company with no snide remarks or anything else , just getting those from vru now we have left.

Many of which i am sure would welcome you , you would be welcome in ROP if you chose to come .

If not we would still help you settle in to mmo as much as we could .
reference the ggb i would compleat when you move it gives a nice little boost just after you move ,

thanxs for responding, just a quick question about this xfire, can it only be used with a mic, as the comps in the same room as the tv, and the wife, and whilst she puts up with me playing this, i cant get away with talking to the comp. So does your clan use typed chat?

I am interested in finding out what type of role you would be looking for in a clan if/when you decide to move over. The 5WAT clan (MMO) has been going for just over a year now and is currently bouncing around the top 200 clan rank. We have 28-ish member right now that range from new players just starting out to a number of FE (6) and some more that are close.

Having read your post there may be some things that match up or may not:

Everything will generally apply to both you and your 'partner in crime'

Would you consider a possible active role in a clan?
Are you looking for an established high ranking clan or one that you can help build up as well?
Do you need exerienced players to play with for the BM offense and homemap defense or would players working with you but learning at the same time be more prefereable?
x-1 home map raiding will be difficult within this clan for a while as I am the only lvl 16 - is that a prob?
Clan tax is generally at 1-2%. We have had it higher in the past but that would normally be for a 1-3 day clan fund build-up for a needy cause.

Am not too sure what your experience has been like with the other VRU clans but in MMO you will find that many MMO will organise raids to x-1 home maps, BM clear outs and also invasions into x-7 and 4-5 to help with quests. This means that a group of MMO are normally easy to organise to do these things even if you clan isnt at the time of playing.

Regarding the use of voice-chat; we use x-fire as well. It is easy to use and does not affect Do that much, although i do use it on a seperate laptop. We have found TeamSpeak require a fairly powerful PC otherwise it will affect DO responsiveness.
With Xfire, you can also use typed chat as well, with no chat-bans being an issue. It is also beneficial to have MMO Chat running via DO and clan chat via X-fire so you have a better feel for what is going on. There is also a push to talk facility with x-fire which means that you do not get a constant barrage of stuff coming through. If I wanted to say something, i would press F9 key to speak then let go. also you can always use typed chat whilst evenyone actually talks to you if that would be more suitable.


So in summary, I would like to discuss things in more detail regarding a possible move to 5WAT esp if you have an interest in helping co-lead a clan and help build it up further.

Also as Rooster mentioned, you may want to complete the GG and possibly the quest after the move to ensure you do not loose a large chunk of the honour given out.

nope u can use type chat as well if you wish quite afew guys do when they are on for the same reason and as vinvin says u have the option of puxh to talk asweell some people just listen in using headphones but type there responses
