USA East Server?

I have a problem I have never run into before...I can sign on to my D.O. account and everything is fine, but when I click the start button and my "flying" screen comes up, the start bar is approximately 25% loaded, and it will not load.

I have cleaned everything out of my pc, cleared any and all files that D.O. stores on my PC, even restored my pc to an earlier time before this problem occured, and still the start bar will appear 25% loaded but never loads.

I tried going to another server, and the screen loads just fine there, but not on USA east, which of course is where my account is.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.

Not getting onto your account means that there is a problem with

• Your internet connection / settings
• Your internet speed
• Your PC/Laptop
• Our servers

There are a number of things that you can do to eliminate the possibilites of some of these things.

• Connection / settings - When this is your problem, you have a little bit of work to do but more so it will pay of in the end if done properly. A few ways to eliminate this as a possibility is
  • Check that your browser cookies are set to allow from BigPoint/Dark Orbit site(s)
  • Check that your (Internet Cache) is cleared out fully and that after you have done that, you have restarted your PC/Browser (PC is reccomended)
  • Make sure that you have (optimised your flash player) so that the optimal speeds can be reached on the upload and download of data to and from Dark Orbit so that your playing is more smooth
  • Keep an eye on your internet speed settings - taking a long time to load isn't always our fault or yours. It can actually be your Internet Provider. Usually they offer internet speeds from a point but there is no minimum speed limit meaning you can be
    
  • stuck with a massive loss of bandwith

• Internet Speed - Like I said in my last point above, it can be down to your internet service provider (Or ISP for short)
  • Check that you are recieving what you are paying for. Advertised internet speeds doesn't mean that you are getting them, some companies will vary on what you get from how far away you live from your local exchange. Try (testing your internet) upload and download speeds (Search it in google - there are many ways to test it) and see if you're getting what you were promised. If not - time for a phone call to your ISP
  • Make sure that you are not running any background programs that take up bandwith or that will prevent you from accessing Dark Orbit. Common programs include firewalls and anti viruses. Make sure they allow you to receive data from Dark Orbit

• Your PC/Laptop - There are many problems that spur from here, and believe it or not simple solutions to fix them:
  
  • If you are using a PC from the 20th century, it won't be running at it's best in most cases unless you have practially changed everything in it apart from the case it's in. Try getting some new vital additions to your system like a new processor (May require a new motherboard so that it fits), a new graphics card or some more ram
  • Make sure that you have updated your software as the most up to date provides the best performance (Or that's how it should be). Try visiting the sites of your software that you use or simply use the "Update" or "Check for upates" feature on many programs that you will have installed
  • A simple (system defragmentation) (Found in Control Panel --> Performance tools) will help you, along with some things like desktop clear up
    

• Our Servers- it's not always your fault, and in that case we're here to help you out as much as we can:
  • Provide your user ID, which is a 5-8 digit number found on the gold bar of your backpage. With this administrators can then look into your account and see if they're getting the same problems and if so diagnose it and fix it accordingly
  • Give us some times and dates, that way we can search up into the server logs and see if the problem was that the server(s) were actually down at the time given
  • Check the (official announcements) to see if it's not only you being effected by this problem - but rather everyone on your server or even the whole of Dark Orbit

The other possibility could of course be that your account has been suspended and in which case you should know (When you try to log in it should tell you). If this is the case you will need to message support using the support form on your homepage with your reasoning as to why you did what you did to get banned and an apology.
