Alien Breakdown (updated)

Hello.

Not long ago, Tr1x5t3r uploaded a spreadsheet for players to use where they could add their ship setups and gain better understanding of how their own setup affects their gameplay against aliens or other players.

I offered to add to this spreadsheet which I have done and produced a NEW version (based on the original created by Tr1x5t3r). Version 2.1 available to download is my proposed final version (unless a worthy update to it can be suggested)

I added shields, negative honour(outlaws), updated ore values based on honour and cargo holds affecting ore profits.

(Version 2.1 now includes configuration comparison and value of refined ore vs value of unrefined ore - as requested)

Some players have had difficulties in how to use the spreadsheet so I have provided an example

Here is an example. The only boxes to fill in are the ones in white. Only fill in boxes that apply to your ship setup (leave other boxes blank) The ship in this example has the following:

Honour: 21,000
Cargo Space: 1,000
Drones: 1 flax (lvl2) and 1 flax (lvl3) - 1 slot available on each
Lasers on Ship: 3 MP1 lasers and 1 LF3
Lasers on drones: 1 MP1 in first drone. 1 MP1 in second drone



If the "White" boxes contain your ship information the rest of the sheet will update automatically. Hope this helps.

You and trixster are doing some really good work.

What would be handy is a chart that would work out if you can take on a certain NPC and win in a 1v1 situation using your sheild to hitpoints formula.
You and trixster need to get together and combine yr spread sheets.

I think i read he was in Ireland at the mo. But you 2 def need to collaborate.

Keep up the good work both of you.

This will be usuful to noobs and exp players alike

This is exactly why I posted up what was done already to find out what needed to be added to it in order to make it more useful. I'll add an extra shield configuration, comparisons between attack configs 1 and 2, comparisons between shield configs 1 and 2, and as you suggest a chart that shows who would win in a straight out fight 1v1 between player and alien.

Tr1x5t3r is in Ireland at the moment and is going to have a look at my spreadsheet when he gets back when I hope he can suggest modifications also

Well I've got more to add to this sheet, but it's had to take a backseat until after christmas.

Right now I have my hands full with Winter Quests, Recruiting for my clan, Creating a private clan forum and Christmas Shopping/Preparation (real life)

I'll have a new spreadsheet with more features posted up on the forums by the end of January

I like lords in 2-2. Not much harder than streuners, and the salvage is evenly balanced so you can refine it efficiently and stay out longer. always pick up bonus boxes, do quests. unless you join a clan, forget bidding for elite equip - too expensive unless you already bought all the non-elite equip you can.

file factory is the worst ever site download place, unlimited VIRUSES... half of the current stuff on there's virused, they dont update there firewall :l But its very nice, can you put a spreadsheat for MP1, then LF3? both full.

Hi Emmaso, i've just downloaded and used the spreadsheet. very well done to you and Tr1x5t3r and thanks for the time you have spent, i have already put it to good use and im sure my clanm8s will find it helpful also. thanks again.
i use open office 3.0 and it works fine
