Default What server has the best population in Aussie peak time?

Aussie peak time (or at least, my approx play time) = 6am - 10am GMT. (For me, that is 4-8pm.)

I don't mind ping so much, just population. I started on US because the main language was English and I was hoping that with a high server population there'd be more people online at Aussie peak time, but there aren't that many and Trade prices are higher with a higher population, so it seems like I'm paying higher trade prices, and thus taking longer to gear up, to minimal benefit. Is there a dedicated Australian server? If not, which server has the most people playing at Aussie peak time? Or am I already doing the best by playing on US East 1?

Hello MicoolTNT

I am from Australia myself, so I can sympathise with your situation.

No, there is not currently an Australian server. I personally have accounts on US East 1, and US West (which is a further 3 hours behind), but it will depend on what time you are usually playing (Forum time is not really a good indicator, since it can be altered ).

If you can provide your expected times of play, we may be able to offer some clearer advice.

Lots of Aussies on Global Europe 1 server

population wise it has highest number of players but if you are after trade items then go GE 6 as trade prices are not so crazy

I played Global America and didn't like it much, so I'm not keen on joining another Global server, because the chat is in 3+ different languages incomprehensible to me (no offense to ESLs, the problem's on my end, I hate learning languages).Thats why I went East Coast 1; no Japanese/Chinese/Spanish/ w/e. Let me look up a timezone converter and find my playtimes in GMT...

Main post edited with estimated play times in GMT.

MicoolTNT - I would agree with pecanin (thankyou).

For the game times you have listed, the US servers will be quite quiet, since you are looking at 2am-6am server-time for US East, and 11pm-3am on US West (those times may differ slightly with DST changes).

If you are looking to find more players online, I suggest it would probably be better to play on the European/UK servers during the times you have listed (it will be around early to mid-morning on those servers).

It is part of the burden we bear for being so far ahead of the rest of the world.

Do you have further questions?
