Why? me banned?

In chat and got attacked on chat cant name who for forum reasons but i later got banned and all i did was call them a baboon and after they said that they dont argue with idiots (saying im a idiot) i then said well i am ovously not an idiot as you started this arguement.

If this aint the reason i got banned please tell me
I do not see fit to ban me when attacked and not to ban the other person.

Without your user id they may not look into it for you, so please edit your post to include your user id so a mod or admin can look into this for you. Thank You

As suggested by agtsjg we do require a user id in order to look into this.
